question about jaws and Windows 11

at work, I use Windows 11 and Jaws, version 23, I think. I had a strange occurrence today. I locked my computer to go on break, and when I came back, Jaws kept saying not in table. When I tried to hit old F4 to get out of, whatever it thought it was in, it kept saying alt shift F4, which didn’t make any sense. I finally had to reboot the entire system to get it to speak properly. Does anyone know why Jaws might have done that?

I've experienced this before. For some reason, JAWS is convinced that one or more keys is being held down when that's not in fact the case. I usually find that pressing the ALT key a couple of times causes JAWS to revert to the expected behaviour.

But I really don't think it's screen reader internal bug, sometimes the keys are actually seen as pressed by software. Me too I press alt and it is generally fixed. The first time this happened to me was around 2016 when I was a kid and I was quite panicked then for good reasons... I think it may be a specific bug with windows, I was on windows 7 back then! Still happens on 11.
