App developers, what resources helped you make your apps accessible?

I ask both as I would like to reach out to a couple devs and would like to be able to give them actionable feedback and meaningful suggestions of where they can go to learn about accessibility, and also because AppleVis maintains a page of developer resources, and I would like to ensure what we have is updated and helpful.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you for asking, Michael! Testing with screen curtain, Voice Over and a Braille terminal seems most important.
AppleVis offers huge value for studying user problems and feedback, that otherwise would be very hard to achieve. Mastodon is another platform for following discussions about accessibility and getting involved. Technical problems are rarely an issue. Sometimes I still would like to get even more information about what works for users, what doesn’t and why in situations I am developing for.

Honestly conference talks have been a huge source of inspiration and knowledge for me.

As an example, here's some talks my friend Bas gave:

My friend Ben giving What People Get Wrong with Accessibility (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iZ_9haeiyI) from Swift Connection (https://www.youtube.com/@ZTechConnection)

This is bookmarked to watch later:
