Hello. My name is Jane. I've been a Mac user since October 2013. I have been a windows user for years. Eversence I've switched to the mac, I been wanting to put windows on it. I understand the vmWare fusion is an accessible way to put windows virtually. Are their other accessible programs out their to make this possible? I don't like windows 8 much. I'm also looking for a windows 7 ultimate and office online.

You can also use boot camp to install windows virtually but I think boot camp requires a little bit of sighted assistance.

Hi Jane, Oracle Virtual Box would be a free alternative to VMWare but it is not nearly as acessible - you may get something working using the command line though. I am extremly stingy with buying apps but VMWare is certainly a good bargain for us VO users. Migrating an existing Windows machine to the MAC is a no-brainer - I was surprised how well this worked out. All you need to do is starting a migration tool on the windows side and the rest is fully automatic. What do you expect from an alternative? What are you missing in VMWare?
Hello, VirtualBox is free of charge. You can download it for free on the following link: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
VM Fusion sells for EUR 53 in Europe. http://store.vmware.com/DRHM/store?Action=DisplayProductDetailsPage&SiteID=vmwde&Locale=de_DE&ThemeID=29219600&Env=BASE&productID=285633400&src=eBIZ_StoreHome_Featured_Fusion_Buy_DE You probably don't need the professional version. They also offer an evaluation version so you can try it before buying. Just make sure to turn off VO while working under windows. Otherwise the VO related keys are not passed through and you get keyboard conflicts - well, that's just pressing ctrl+option+F5. I also found that it sometimes causes problems if you still interact with a VM toolbar when switching over. Just stop interacting before truning off VO and it should work just fine.
