Hi there, I have a computer that has NVDA on it, but I don’t want to use the default voices that come with it. How would I install the eloquence or vocalizer voices?

Just open and should install. Also if you get it, save the key number. When you update windows, it goes back to the default voice. Well at lease it happen to me a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Hi,

Vocalizer is now called, "Tiflotecnia". Below is a link to the website, where you can get the TTS engine, and I believe you can download the voices as well. Alternatively, you can get vocalizer expressive, which works really well with the portable version of NVDA. Vocalizer expressive, and the vocalizer expressive voices work as an NBDA add-on, which means you can take the voices with you in a portable version of NVDA, like on a thumb drive. This is what I personally use, and I use Premium High Samantha on my HP laptop running Windows 11, FYI.

Please note, these are not free. They are premium voices, and have a premium price, unfortunately.

Hi,
Is there a link to the Eloquence TTS for NDVA? I would be interested as well.

I would get NVDA if I didn’t have to pay for vocalizer voices. I get them proof free with my iPhone and I got them for free with jobs. I mean you guys technically you have to pay for the iPhone first in order to get that but at least they already come out of the box. I love vocalizer, but I wouldn’t pay money for them.

All I will say and response to that is, Google can be your best friend. 😇

What's the difference between Vocalizer and Runa TTS that Access Mind sells? The voices are all the same. Eloquence and the IBM voices are also the same.

Are they just different versions of the synths that let you use them with any program, or are tied to NVDA, like FS does with Vocalizer and Eloquence and JAWS?

To my knowledge, IBMTTS is exclusive for NVDA. Sadly, I have never heard of Runa TTS.

Haven't even thought to put Eloquence on my Windows 11 PC because I thought Code Factory was no longer. I had it on my Windows 10 laptop. I've heard pretty iffy things about their Vocalizer software (servers being down etc) and couldn't justify the cost for the other Vocalizer voices

I honestly do not know about code factory. Other than to say that is where everything is pointing me to for eloquence for NVDA. ATGuys.com seems to have a better solution though, as they're claiming their eloquence and vocalizer voices work with any Windows screen reader.

ATGuys is just a reseller of Code Factory, so Eloquence that you get with ATGuys is the eloquence that was developped by Code Factory. Same thing for Vocalizer Sapi5.
