Recommendations for easy games for someone learning VO for the first time

I am a sighted speech language pathologist and new to learning how to use VO on iPhone. I am working with a client who is newly blind and wanting to use his phone more. He is interested in learning VO compatible games and has already mastered Dice World and Pirate Poker as well as using a local news app (KSL) to listen to news stories. We are both beginners and would welcome any recommendations from more seasoned users. Thanks you so much!

in VoiceOver Settings there is an option called "VoiceOver tutorial".
This option teach all voiceOver commands and explain everything about VoiceOver.

Swordy quest is a game I highly recommend. Very VoiceOver friendly, and fun.

This game is absolutely voiceover friendly, has excellent gameplay value, and a pretty good storyline. The story is a, "who done it?", Type of mystery. You play a reporter trying to solve a missing person's case.
More information can be found at the following link. Enjoy. 😁

You may want to look into the Choice Of games and Hosted games apps. They are collections of choose your own adventure style stories and would be great practice for reviewing the screen and picking options. I would also recommend Path of Adventure. It's a fun casual rpg which doesn't take itself too seriously and has simple mechanics. A game called Forgotten is another easy to play fantasy adventure. Dice world was a great first pick.

Thank you so much to those who have commented some great options for me to investigate. My client is very interested in finding a VO compatible black jack game but I'm coming up short. Any particular app recommendations for that?

has a Blakjack game, though you have to pay either 2.99 USD per month or 34.00 USD per year in order to play their games now.
Well, that's on the Android side at least...

RS Games also has Blackjack in their client as well.

Audio Game Hub for iOS is the same, you have to pay for a subscription now to play the games. However, you get a certain amount of coins for the casino games. So you can at least download the application and try those out. One thing to note, the game client is self voiced, while the gestures are identical to what you would expect with VoiceOver, it requires you to disable VoiceOver to play. So, for example, if your client depends on Braille support, then this may not work for them.
