Problem with Kindle library.

Hi everyone,

I am using the latest version of iOS and the most recent version of the Kindle app. I’ve noticed recently, though, the voiceover does not read the titles in my library. I have to click on Home and read the titles in the. Your library section. It only shows me the most recent titles. Has anyone else noticed this issue? If so, does anyone know a work around?

Yeah. I don't know what they did to accessibility, but it's annoying. I think there is a place we can submit feedback, but I don't know if they'll even respond.

Don't know which version of iOS you are on, but my primary device uses iOS 18 still, while my old backup/test device is on 26.3.1. Anyways, my Kindle library is basically not reading the book title labels, rather it reads the Information as if they were unlabeled images. So, I would recommend you have a gesture assigned to recognizing images. For example, I use the three finger single tap for this.
This will read out the titles to you, though it's not as efficient as VoiceOver naturally reading the titles, it does work however.

HTH.

And its driving me up the provervial wall... Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
By the way as a tip, if you have I think its describe immages or recognise immages turned on in screen recognition settings if memory serves, voiceover will describe the image automatically without needing to use a gesture for it.
Edit, could it something voiceover specific? I mean, kindle has had some fairly miner accessibility bugs throughout the years which have been fixed promptly but, i'm guessing this one isn't a kindle specific thing, probably.

Hello everyone. I reported this problem to Kindle some weeks ago, but urge all of you to do this if you haven't already. I did get a response which made it clear that my issue was properly understood. It has also been escalated to the app developers according to the second response I got after answerring some questions in their first. So far, the issue hasn't been fixed.
For some reason, the issue isn't consistent. For some books, it seem to read the titles normally at least some times. I'm not certain whether it's something to do with position or newer book covers.
For an otherwise brilliantly accessible app, this is certainly a regression. They seem to be aware of it at, but perhaps someone else's explanation might contain that illusive bit of information which helps solve this. Meanwhile, I hope the content of your books makes up for the consternation now involved in finding them in your Kindle libraries.
