Public TestFlight Beta – My Little Friend (Virtual Pet Game)
Hello everyone! 👋
I’m excited to share that the public TestFlight beta for my iOS game, My Little Friend, is now open, and we’re looking for more testers from the community.
My Little Friend is a cozy virtual pet game where you care for a companion over time by keeping their core needs healthy — feeding them, playing with them, grooming them, helping them rest, and watching them grow through different life stages. The game is designed to be relaxing, rewarding to check in on throughout the day, and full of little moments with your pet.
Some of the features currently in the beta include:
• A full pet care system with multiple actions like feeding, washing, playing, exercising, cuddling, and sleep
• Pets that grow through life stages from baby to elder
• XP, coins, streaks, and achievements for long-term progression
• Unlockable mini-games like Bubble Pop, Card Match, Coloring, Hide & Seek, and Simon Says
• A shop with items, boosts, themed bundles, and room customization
• Ambient audio, music, and sound effects to create a cozy atmosphere
• A legacy system that allows your companion to “ascend” and carry perks forward to the next pet
This build also includes several recent visual and design improvements, along with more ways for each pet and their space to feel unique.
If you’d like to try the beta and share feedback, you can join through TestFlight here:

The game's fun.
The game is fun. I've played sever itterations of what would become this game, and I really have enjoyed it. I hope folks give it a whirl.
Will check it out and let you know
Hello there, your idea seems nice. I will surely check it out and let you know being a visually impaired person. I love playing such games. I will surely check it out and let you know.
thoughts so far
I am really liking this game so far, the music, descriptions, and overall vibe are very cozy and adorable. I wish there were even more descriptions about what our pets look like, and what the different accessories we can buy look like as well. I like the sounds the game makes for different actions, it would also be cool if the pets could make reaction sounds. As for the layout, it is pretty clear what most buttons do but a few buttons seem to do the same thing, and I'm a little confused about the room descriptions that show up as buttons.
Some updates.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a pretty big update on My Little Friend, our accessible virtual pet game. This latest build introduces a lot of new systems that push the game further toward feeling like a living, evolving companion rather than just a stat-based pet.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s new:
Personality That Evolves Over Time
Your pet’s personality and quirks now change based on how you care for it, the activities you choose, and how consistently you respond to its needs. Over time, each pet becomes genuinely unique.
Town Map and Daily Destinations
There is now a town map with locations like a park, café, clinic, market, beach, and observatory. Each area offers short activities, rotating characters, and unique rewards, giving you more reasons to check in throughout the day.
Social Features (Local Only for Now)
You can visit other players’ pets, leave gifts or notes, share room setups, and participate in cooperative weekend-style activities. At the moment, these features are local only and not connected to online multiplayer yet.
Expanded Life Stages
Child, adult, and elder phases now each include their own content, including quests, decisions, and longer-term goals. Progression feels more like a life journey rather than just increasing stats.
Optional Real-World Integration
The game can optionally use things like time of day, local weather, step count, and focus timers to influence your pet’s mood and routines.
Home Building That Affects Gameplay
You can now freely place furniture, expand rooms, and design your space. Layout and objects impact your pet’s behavior, comfort, and daily opportunities.
Memory and Emotion System
Your pet remembers important moments. Over time it can develop preferences, fears, comfort items, and even grudges. Past events can influence future dialogue and behavior.
Contest Circuit
New activities like fashion shows, cooking contests, photo challenges, obstacle runs, and talent showcases provide another layer of progression tied to multiple systems.
Discovery-Based Cooking and Alchemy
Instead of following fixed recipes, you can experiment with ingredients to discover new outcomes, including rare results and occasional failed combinations.
Lineage and Legacy System
When a pet retires, it becomes part of a family tree. Future pets can inherit traits, items, and bonuses, creating a sense of long-term progression across generations.
As always, accessibility remains a core focus. The goal is for everything here to work smoothly with VoiceOver and feel intuitive without relying on visuals.
If anyone here ends up trying the latest build, I would really appreciate any feedback, especially around navigation, clarity, and how these new systems feel from an accessibility perspective.
Thanks again to this community for all the support so far.
trouble with interface
Hi! I really love this concept, the game has a very relaxing, cozy feel that we don't see enough of in accessible games. Unfortunately, the way that VoiceOver is interacting with the interface right now makes it difficult to access a lot of the content the game has to offer. I am able to click the buttons under the first heading for care just fine, but am having trouble with the other headings. when I try to swipe to the buttons underneath them, VoiceOver focus will quickly jump back to a different part of the screen, (most often the pet's stats). I have tried using the 3 finger scroll, as well as tapping different parts of the screen, but I just can't seem to get VoiceOver's focus to remain on any of those buttons. I was able to click on the town button in the brief second before VoiceOver focus jumped away, and once I was in that menu everything went smoothly, but getting there was a challenge. I'm not sure how much this would help, but have you considered turning the headings into clickable tabs at the bottom, that way the options in the center of the screen could change to reflect what tab is selected instead of having all the elements on the screen at once? Please let me know if I am making any sense, or if there is something I should be doing differently to have better results with the game.
