Launching app-suite.eu: AScan (Simplified OCR with Local AI) and AGram (Native Telegram Client) for macOS

macOS and Mac Apps

Hi everyone,
I am excited to introduce App-Suite.eu, a new home for macOS applications built from the ground up with a "Native Accessibility First" philosophy. As a developer, I was frustrated by the friction in existing tools, so I built these to restore efficiency and autonomy for VoiceOver users.

1. AScan: The "One-Touch" OCR
AScan was designed to solve the "10-minute struggle" of scanning a simple document. It focuses on extreme simplicity and privacy.
• The Workflow: Open the app, hit Spacebar, and the app immediately triggers the scan, processes OCR, and starts reading.
• Library & Privacy: Every scan is automatically saved in your local library.
• Edge AI features: I've integrated 100% Local AI (no data leaves your Mac) to summarize documents or describe them. It can even auto-categorize your scans into folders like "Invoices," "Taxes," or "Personal Mail."
• Trial: There is a 7-day free trial available. After that, it's €9.99/month or €99.99/year.

2. AGram (Free): Telegram, the way it should be on macOS
We all know the official Telegram Desktop client can be a challenge with VoiceOver. AGram is a fully native macOS client designed for speed and clarity—and it's completely free.
• Native Navigation: No non-standard UI elements. It feels like a real Mac app.
• Full Topics Support: It handles Telegram "Topics" and Folders perfectly, making large communities much easier to navigate.
• Optimized for VoiceOver: Every label and interaction has been tested to ensure a fluid experience.

Community & Support
I believe accessibility is an ongoing conversation. I've launched a dedicated Telegram Support Group (using AGram's topic structure, of course!) where you can report bugs, suggest features, or get help in real-time.
https://t.me/+9N7xh8PS29k2Y2M0

You can find both apps and the link to the community at:
https://app-suite.eu

I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback and continuing to improve these tools for the community.

The scan sounds nice. However, Tbh i'd prefer if there was a lifetime choice not just subscription, as I generarly tend to avoid subscriptions. I'll give it a go, but the subscription only moddle puts me off, to a point. As said, if there was a lifetime option for those who prefered that, that would be nice.

Firstly, thank you so much for a great Telegram client. I have just downloaded it and accessibility is great. And Because one of my writing groups is using telegram, it will be great app for me to use. However, Notifications are coming but for some reason, I nead to go to another chat or topic and return the original one for new messages to apere. I don't know what is the problem. I can see when someone is typing but the table doesn't update itself, or voiceover. Could you help?

Hi, Thanks a lot for your comments. A lifetime llicense has not been implemented yet, mainly foreconomic purposes: the idea is to be able to have a sustainable model to be sure I can continue updating the app, and provide new features (and belive me, thuis is just the beginning as there is so much on the roadmap). :) As for aGram and notifications, this sounds like a bug, I'll investigate that shortly and either provide an updated application and/or come back here for a workaround (most unlikely).

Anyway, thank you so much for keeping the discussion live here, as this is IMHO the best to have apps that fully serve users' needs.

Hello, thank you for your software. Although I have provided a script for Telegram, it would be very useful if you could design a Telegram client for iOS, and I am willing to purchase it.

The ability to have a Telegram client for iOS that uses a native interface would be incredibly useful! I'm not sure how true this is, but it seems that Apple's modern SDKs make it quite easy to port applications to mobile platforms. Having experience in developing for other platforms, unfortunately, I have not coding for iOS at all and am not familiar with their toolkit.
The official Telegram client for iPhone became almost useless after updating to 12.2. And although thanks to scripts we have the opportunity to use the web version, having a native application would be much more convenient.

When I visit the site to download the Telegram client, the button to download is dimmed. The other scanning app downloads just fine.

Hi, I realised that some messages are read as unsupported messages, survays maybe, I'm not sure.

By kaillewaille on Thursday, January 29, 2026 - 08:21

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that the next aGram release is currently neing developed, with the following (at least) bugs being addressed: - Unsupported message types: when someone joins/leaves a group, or in other cases, message are shown as unsupported. - View devices sessions: Like on the official client, a Device Sessions vutton will be present in the account tab to see which client & platform are using your Telegram account, and giving you the opportunity to deactivate unwanted sessions. - Unread message sync: in some cases, unread messages are not synced within the UI: Not yet 100% sure this fix will be present in the next release;, but it's being worked on. - Audio normalization: some voice messages are, although with excellent quality, sometimes played with a low audio volume, I'm exploring some ways to normalize such messages to make them easier to listen to.

Have a great day, and thanks again for your excellent feedbacks

Hello! Is it possible to download the aGram app from GitHub? If yes, could you please share the link? Thank you!

By kaillewaille on Friday, January 30, 2026 - 07:13

Hi, currently, aGram sources are not available for distribution via github, that's why I did not use github's release system to distribute releases as well.
Have a great day

I might be wrong but the app does not have an option to update without visiting the site.

By Cankut DeÄŸerli on Friday, January 30, 2026 - 09:55

There is an upddate button on the settings menu but I couldn't updated the app via that button. For some reason the client didn't update itself to the latest release, so I updated it mannually.

If Vispero sues you, everyone will be mad :) space, scan and read? This is textbook openbook 2009 1k software in 2026. Thank you, I'll try these soon.

I'm very curious to try these apps, particularly the scanner, but their not being open source is a deal-breaker for me, unfortunately. Is there any plan to put these projects on GitHub or a similar platform in the future, and if not, would you be willing to talk a little about why you've chosen to go that route? Especially given that the scanner will potentially be handling very sensitive private documents, it would be helpful to see exactly what it does with those documents during and after processing. Thanks a lot for your time. :)

Hi,

First of all, thanks for an awesome app. Haven't tried AScan yet but I intend to. I have been running AGram for a while and the interface is for the most part great.

I do have a few suggestions and bug reports though:

- Space doesn't play voice messages. Only way I found is interacting with the message and pressing play.
- In the list of conversations, it would be great if in addition to the number of unread messages the most recent one would be read, like is the case in basically every other messaging app like messages or whatsapp.
- Please add options to change the sounds. Having the app play the system default sound every time a message comes in is very confusing because I keep thinking an error popped up somewhere. In general I'd just like to know whether the message I received was from a group, a channel or a private message
- In addition to group events, the app says unsupported message if someone sends me an audio file using the attach feature. Ideally I could just play it in the app while still having the save option like is the case with documents.

I'm very intterested in this.

Dear all,

For the past few weeks, although I was very quiet here, some work has been done to aScan, aGram, and other apps as well that will be introduced into a separate thread for better visibility.

Let's talk about aScan first: - The app is now translated into more languages: German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, and Italian. - The underlying LLM has been replaced with Gemma3, a much more capable model that better understands documents' structure. - It's now possible to ask question on a document: Select a scanned entry, press c, and ask anything about it, like "What's the due date for this invoice", or "What's the health state of my cat" (if on a cat blood analysis). - It's now possible to re-classify a document with the U key: Useful to migrate to Gemma3 for older documents. - It's now possible to show some extracted data from a document: press the m key, and a table will popup with all the extracted data that can be copied separately with cmd+c: super useful to extract a postal addresss, a NIR, a follow-up number, or whatever is detected.

All of the features. will be demonstrated on the product page in a podcast to be produced this week, will keep you posted.

About aGram now: - The app now leaves in the menu bar: much better notification handling. - Some refinements have been done to the UX to better handle mentions, conversations switches, and unread messages: Not 100% perfect yet though, I'm still on it. - By downloading models from the app's preferences, you can now translate (cmd+shift+t- any messages into your nalguage, and transcribe (cmd+shift+y) any audio message. - audio and video calls are the next to be integrated feature for the next version to be published I hope by march 21st.

Thanks again for all your support, feel free to post comments here should you have any question: I'm not really often on this forum, but I'll be notified by email when someone posts in this thread.

Best,

Yannick — App-Suite Founder

Just checking: is there any chance AGram (macOS Telegram client) will come to iOS someday?
Thanks!

By Ramy on Monday, March 9, 2026 - 20:54

Thanks so much for the AGram Cline,t really, it makes the difference,
Thanks for thinking about us.

i tried the client and it worked great,
but just i need to download a file that I received in telegram, there is something called save to, but it did nothing,
so, what am i missing here?

By Ramy on Monday, March 9, 2026 - 20:55

Hello:
THere is an app in it's beta stage called Accessible gram, it is very promising, very responsive,
so i think we are in the right way

By kaillewaille on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 - 09:45

Dear all,

Just a quick note to answer that yes, aGram for iOS is on its way.

A few things I have to struggle with before releasing: - pricing: Developping a full-featured chat for iOS requires time (for the initial release and for subsequent ones). - audio calls: I really want to have calls support on day one. The server infrastructure (to signal incoming calls even if the app is closed) is already here, but the client code to handle WebRTC & OPUS correctly still needs some work.

I'd really like to make this release ready by March 21st, but the future will tell if I'm a little too optimistic here :)

Hi,
I’ve prepared a localization file for AGram and want to contribute it.
Where should I send it? Please advise the preferred submission method (forum attachment, email, etc.).

Thanks!

Hi there!

I just downloaded the app for a 7-day trial and I’m really enjoying how user-friendly it is.

I hit a small snag: when I try to read a PDF, the app spells out the content letter-by-letter. It seems like the software thinks there are spaces between every character. Did I miss a step in the setup, or is there a way to fix this "spelling" behavior?

Thanks for the help!

Best regards,

Hi,

I did not have such issues with PDFs I tried out, but it may be due to this specific PDF.
If the PDF is not confidential and does not contain sensitive informations, I'd love to have a look at it. You can send it to contact@app-suite.eu
