Has anybody tried the minecraft access for the blind on mac OS, how well does it work? I'm deciding whether to buy the game or not

The information of the following link should help get you started. Make sure you get the Java version for macOS. Don't get the bedrock version, as that is Windows only. Good luck! 😊

You just need to go into Minecraft itself and change the video settings within the game, otherwise the commands to move things around in your inventory won't work. It's a steep learning curve, and I myself am still learning how to do things. But Mac is the only way I've played, so it does work.

What should the video settings be? There are numerous options such as GUI scale, full resolution, and max FPS. Which ones should I adjust for optimal performance?

According to the link I posted above, reducing the GUI is required for macOS to function properly with this access mod.

Anyone having success with getting this up and running? I just tried it over the weekend and could not get either the steps outlined in the link above or Modrinth to get VI-Access to work. of note, I am running the latest version of Java, which is 26.1.1, and notice that the last update for VI-Access was 3 months ago. I am totally new to Minecraft so I could easily be missing something.
