Found a bitlife alternative

I find this app more engagning than bitlife. Having said that though, I hink this app needs a bit of work. Here's an example, I spent some time with my boyfriend. Then I tried to interact with my sister. When I tried to tap on her name, nothing happened. I tried going to another tab, going back to people and tried interacting with her again, but the app was still stuck as the best way I can think of to describe it. Also, how can you navigate threw things like the different things you can pick from in activities?

Nothing happens when you tap on get married, and the browsing options become unresponsive. That surely must be a bug. My character is a trillionaire.

Can't change major at University and can't do a full time job as it won't let me press any buttons after tapping on the do a day's work or whatever they call it. If they can just make the app fully accessible I'd be happy to pay for the app. They didn't charge too much for getting rid of adverts and to unlock the equivalent of God mode

I'm willing to give it a chance, because it is just one week old, the developer is aware of accessibility to the point where there is even an accessibility note in the App Store, so hopefully they will work on many of these problems. There seem to be a hell of a lot you can do on this app. I just wish they had an email address, because I hate discord.

Will you add it to the iOS app directory, or can I?

I was browsing reddit this morning, just going threw a few things I'm subscribed to. On a whim, I decided to see if the game had a sub reddit. I typed life pop into the search box, and yes, they do have a sub reedit.

I decided to restart my life just for the heck of it. I clicked on orphan as the starter I wanted, but it seems to have just picked the classic life. How can I choose one of the other starters besides the standard one?

It's another bug that will need to get sorted out.

They actually need to be unlocked during gameplay. While playing, go to activities and search. Type the word scenario into the search box and it will show you all the scenarios, as well as how to unlock them. Just make sure that your hints are turned on. Right now, there seem to be a new bug with confirmation screens, like restarting a new game, buying a house, buying a vehicle, performing work and I can't remember the other screens. With the game being so new, it seem to be a fix here and break there kind of situation. Oh and also, I was finally able to get married by searching for get married in activities, then did it from there.

When you reach 12 years of age, go to activities and search for orphan, then unlock the scenario. You should then instantly become an orphan.

It looks like those automation screens are now fixed. Does anyone have a clue on how to get a car? It keeps telling me that my credit score is too low. I'm not one for credit scores, so how should I raise it?

Make sure you don't default on payments. Avoid large balances on your credit cards. Own tangible assets, like cars and land. Earn a good income.

I just go the newest updare. Not only have they fixee screns to confirm actions, but a lot more things have been labled. Also, interactins with your family members have been split into grops, I'd assume this goes for other people as well.

I'm in the Discord server for the game. The dev seems super responsive to fixing bugs, including for accessibility.

Someone should report this, along with customization options being unlabeled.

In the latest update that was just released yesterday, a lot of things have been fixed. One, things such as hair and eye color are now labled. Two, it seems that life starters have been fixed and now work as expected. Three, this isn't a fix, but a feature,, you can now choose your parents, siblings and pets before you start your life if you've bought the architect mode. Four, diffierent stats for people you know are now read by voiceover. Five, If you've bought the architect mode, the different editors are now read by voiceover as you are working with them.

This is cool. Now just gotta make mini games more accessible. I love what I see here so far.

This dev ins more than willing to make this fantastic app useable for us. I suggest reporting the bug.

Does anyone get an error message on app startup?

I just tried to open the app and get this weird error about rendering hooks or something.

Skin tones are still unlabeled when editing an NPC. Also, there is a bug that won't let you restore life architect mode when you delete and reinstall the app. I had to buy it three times. Someone please report this, so others don't get the same issue.

There is a new update, it fixed the error message, and added some new features.

The vehicle maintenance automation will appear in your feed, but when you go to your garage, the vehicle's stats still drops as if nothing happened. Likewise, when you add automations like study hard, join study group and study with classmate, they will show up in the yearly feed but when you check under the education tab, it will keep telling you that you haven't studied this year and that your grades may drop. Lastly, there are two activities that are labeled as join study group, and neither seem to have the desired effect. I'm not sure how many of the automations may have the same issue.

VoiceOver can no longer read/interact with messages and emails on social media. Sometimes, some family members and pets will get unrealistically old, like around 145 years and counting. When I got cought for bank robbery, I went to jail for 26 years, but couldn't trigger the escape prison event as it remained locked. Also while in prison, I could still interact with family members and do events as if I was still on the outside. Finally, I think the developer could make it a little easier for us to try for a baby, especially since both me and my partner's fertility and luck were set to Max. Oh and speaking of fertility, it somehow can't be set to zero, and will only go as low as 10%. This makes the zero setting misleading.

Currently the things you have mentioned are being fixed. I just got a ping from the discord that a new update is out so we'll see if the bugs have been squashed

Does dying from old age count as a natural cause? If yes, then there is a bug where you can still die from old age when immortality mode is switched on. Only the vampire seem to be immune from old age.

I have played a few life sim type things and usually they only entertain me for a few hours at best at a time. I tend to come back to them sometimes, but this one I played for a few days straight and I've had a lot of fun. I think it's not just a bit life clone, but something that can stand on it's own in this genre. If you guys haven't, try the minigames. A lot of them are accessible, and you can customize them with more accessibility if you need it.

hey, I have a suggestion, I think they should add a feature into the app where at when you open the app some peaceful music will play as you’re playing the game and there should be more sound effects like when you feed your pet treat you would hear the dog chewing on the treat and buy stuff you were here a cash register sound like I feel like they just need to add more sound effects to make it more interesting

If music ever become a thing, it should have an on or off toggle. Also, an immediate practical suggestion would be the following. If you stumble upon an activity you like, just double tap and hold on it to quickly add it to your automation list, or long press as sighted folks would call it. I would also like for those with the life architect mode to be able to change the genders for our people. Those who like to self insert would have better options for creating a family closest to what they have in real life.

Those are good suggestions. I think there should be more you can do with your pets, like buy them toys and accessories.

When people die, their names continue to be displayed as people you lost this year in the yearly summary.

It can only be found when you type it into the activities search box, or once you've already become a vampire. When you try to find it via browsing, it doesn't seem to be anywhere, unless I missed something?

One thing that's my favorite about bitlife is you can add custom people to it, so they'll pop up throughout the game, can you do that with this? Either way, I'm going to try it, and if not, I'll ask the dev if it could be possible one day, because there's nothing as funny as seeing my favorite singer pop up in my bitlives.

It's even more accessible than BitLife, and you can even customize and make changes to people on the fly.

I bought the removal of ads, and the architect mode. Does architect mode last through just one life, or as many lives as you play? Also, how can you add people? Also, I kind of wish you could choose the name of your kids when they're born, can you do that? Also, my final question, I aged up once, did some activities with my person, but age up was dimmed, how long do you have to wait before I can age him up again?
Finally, something funny, when I was naming his parents, I assumed parent 1 was the mother, so I put Mary Hobstodle for the Mother's name, and George Hobstodle for parent number 2, so it looked like this, the father was Mary Hobstodle, and the mother was George, I just thought that was funny.

The age up button shouldn't be dimmed, that is a bug. When that happens, just close the app and reopen it. Hopefully, all these minor bugs will be fixed soon. The architect mode is forever and for all lives. It is basically the equivalent of God mode in BitLife. You can change your own stats when you double tap on the stats tab and then on open life architect mode. You can't name your kids immediately, but once they are born, you can just double tap on the people tab, find them and edit NPC. When you edit an NPC, you can change their names, age, gender and some of their stats. Yeah, the first parent is the father and the second the mother. Once the game starts, you can edit them even further in the people tab.

When opening life architect mode from within the stats tab, VoiceOver will begin to lag terribly when swiping through elements. I'm using the iPhone 13 Pro Max, so I'm not sure if anyone else experience the same issue.

So I think this is a bug, but when trying to purchase a car, I double tap on the car, VoiceOver reads the car information but I can’t swipe right to the purchase options. And I can’t go back.

Can you live in a house that you own? or pay rent to live in a house that you don't?

You can also pay mortgages, but I believe you need a decent credit score. I haven't messed around with that, because I'm not good with building credit scores.
