We are pleased to announce that user bios are now part of AppleVis profiles, allowing people to share a little about themselves with other AppleVis community members.
Since the early days of AppleVis, user profiles have contained a number of optional, public-facing fields that people may fill in as they choose--home page, Apple products owned, social media profiles, interests, etc. With the update announced today, community members can share a short personal biography that will be included as part of their public profile.
To add or edit your bio (or any other information in your profile), please visit the following page: https://www.applevis.com/user/edit. You can also access this page by navigating to the Main Menu [button]> Account [button]> My Account [link]> Edit [link]. The 'Bio' field is just past the 'Home Page' field in the tab order.

But, in all seriousness, this is a great addition to the site and makes it feel more like a community. I'm thinking that those of us with applicable backgrounds, engineering, programming, and so on, could put that history in there. It's good to know the sort of experience people are bringing to the table. I see us as a mutual resource with overlapping skill sets. A bio goes a long way to showing where each person fills in those informational gaps.

I seriously think that most people on Applevis don’t go around randomly looking at other peoples profiles so this new feature might be under utilised anyways.
