Iβm running the latest version of windows 11.
So much for going back to school in IT .How can I learn to help others with there computers when I canβt even fix my own? Is it possible to suggest a way for Narrator to read the BIOS settings as a added feature?

Bios issues
Have you tried the save and exit? I know that would be the obvious option. Bios stuff is a major pain for those of us who are blind, and I don't think narrator is able to read all of that, as it is all loaded before the OS even, and Narrator is part of the OS. No idea how Apple got Voiceover to work in its recovery utility. Wish I could be of more help. Each manufacturer has its own key to enter bios setup, and spamming that key gets you in. Not sure though how to get out. Your best bet might be the Microsoft help desk via Be My Eyes.
restarting by holding the power button
this should get you out and boot back into windows, assuming windows still works and can be booted into, at least this is how it works on my HP
Power button
I've tried that. My pc will eventually go back to that screen of text.
Try the following
First, unplug everything from your laptop. This includes external keyboards, thumb drives, speakers, etc.
Next, make sure your laptop is powered off.
Hold F9, and while still holding, press the power button. Do not let go of F9.
This, should, boot your laptop into Windows recovery (WinRe)) mode.
Note one, some Asus models require F 12 in place of F9.
Note too, I am unsure as to whether or not windows narrator will work on the screen, but I believe it does. Unfortunately if it does not, then you will need assistance to follow the prompts to restore your build of windows.
Either way, using this utility should repair windows and allow you to boot back into the OS.
HTH.

bios loop
Unfortunately, Renita, at least from my experience, pressing various key combinations when in a situation like this, is pretty problematic at best. What you'll want to do is start the machine, & when you get into the screen press & hold down the power button until the machine shuts down. You'll need to do that several times until the machine boots into recovery mode. Narrator will run at that point. But the question remains, why is this happening? Is the motherboard messed up? Is the bios battery dying/dead? Is the hard drive broken? Is something wrong w/the RAM? The hope is that, in recovery mode, you'll be able to run some diagnostic utilities to get a handle on the problem. Obviously if the hard drive is not bootable, then you'll need to try to boot from a Windows installation cd that is the same version as yours & run the various utilities from there. Clearly try to back up your important files first.
Please also be advised that Microsoft has representatives available on Be My Eyes. You may need to contact them. It can be a pain-&-a-half getting the phone camera sufficiently aligned for the rep to see everything, but it is an option for you in terms of getting sighted assistance.
These are the types of problems I hate dealing with because speech is often unavailable, & it's a hassle-&-a-half. I wish you much luck & success. Let us know how it goes, won't you?
