Hello everyone, I'm really excited to finally share my first cross-platform application with you all!
what is Flux?
Do you spend a lot of time listening to podcasts, music, or streaming audio on your computer, but feel like you’re constantly jumping between different apps or browser tabs? That’s the problem Flux is trying to solve. Flux is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that brings several common media experiences together in one place. Instead of opening a browser for one thing, a separate app for another, and trying to keep track of where you left off, Flux gives you a single app with clear sections for different kinds of listening. Inside Flux, you’ll find dedicated areas for podcasts, music playback, online content, and internet radio. Each section is focused on its own job, so it’s easy to switch between catching up on podcast episodes, tuning into a radio station, or playing audio you already have saved. The built-in media player handles all playback directly, so once something is playing, you can stay in Flux without bouncing elsewhere. Whether you’re listening for a few minutes or settling in for something longer, the goal is to make the experience feel simple and predictable. Flux is available in two editions. The free version lets you explore the core experience and see how it fits into your daily listening. The premium version removes limits and adds extra functionality for users who want more flexibility and control. If you’d like to learn more, see what’s included, or try Flux for yourself, you can find all the details here

Was wonderin'
Lol I was wondering when you were gunna put this up here.
This application links to illegal content.
I just thought I would let people know that this program links to the AudioVault. The AudioVault allows someone to download audio description tracks to movies and TV shows. I am fairly certain this violates United States copyright law.
And yet
My apologies for being off topic, but Blind Mice Mart also has a movie vault of described films, and no complaint has been lodged against that particular thing as far as I'm aware. Yes, flux *does* link to the audio vault, but short of that and the Blind Mice Movie Vault, obtaining described films or tv shows is not the easiest proposition to undertake. I suspect similar complaints would be made if it connected to apple tv, netflix, Etc. If you have a concern, inform those in authority about it.
also, @ Ben Swiggett
The audio does not let you download the *description tracks* to tv and movies, but rather audio tracks of said tv shows and movies with the description already added. Nevertheless, the point I made in my last comment still stands, as does the course of action that should be taken if you are truly concerned about such things. Thank you, and good day.
re: This application links to illegal content.
Why are people such up and arms about this. So what! Blind Mice Mart does the same thing and no complaints are had. Stop complaining just because audio vault leeks copyrighted stuff. It's the same exact, thing! Who cares! Man I swear, Blindies need to stop picking on things for the sake of choosing what things they wanna pick on. If you're gunna go after the vault you might as well go after BMS! The hypocrisy annoys me to no end! Do your homework and stop bashing for the sake of bashing. Just... Stop! Now, as for Flux, I like it a lot and pretty sure yall will like it too. Hopefully.
Blind movie Vault?
The Blind mice movie vault has nothing to do with the Flux application. I actually would call out the Blind mice movie thing if it was relevant to Flux because that content is illegal as well.
re: Blind movie Vault?
What does Flux have to do with any, of this. That makes no logical sense. All it's doing is downloading and streaming from that site, something of which, you can actually do from your web browser thank you very much! Same concept! If you're gunna go after flux then you need to go after web browsers downloading and streaming from them sites that use copyrighted content.
@Jonathan Candler
Hi Jonathan,
Ben raised a legitimate and factual concern about functionality that Flux offers. I met the gentleman behind Flux many years ago--long before he was developing apps--and greatly respect him personally, but I do share Ben's concerns about that particular aspect of the app and the external service it links to. I don't think it is fair to criticize Ben for bringing this up, and saying things like "You see how dumb that sounds now? Don't sound that much intelligent does it." serves only to escalate things when civil discourse is what is needed.
Do tell why.
I'd like to know why people are indeed worried about this then. Here's the deal. Why is it a big deal then a program such as this does the same exact thing than if you were gunna go to said website on your web browser and do the same thing from there? Why all the trouble.
