macOS and Mac Apps

Hi,
I’ve made an app for macOS called ClearWave. ClearWave is an accessible audio editor. Here’s the description: ClearWave is a simple, reliable audio trimmer for macOS. Import a file, set your start and end markers, preview the result, and export exactly what you need. You can jump through your audio in 1 or 5 second steps for quick navigation, use the +1.5s button to quickly set a short end point after the start marker, preview the audio without the selection to hear the join, delete the selection from the working audio, or save only the selection, everything except the selection, before the selection, or after the selection. All processing happens locally on your Mac. Your audio never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it.

How to open ClearWave on your Mac: ClearWave is safe to use. Because it’s not from the App Store, macOS may show a warning the first time you open it. To open it: Right-click on the ClearWave app. Choose Open. When the message appears, choose Open again. After this, your Mac will remember it and ClearWave will open normally from then on. As this is a 1.0 release, more features will be coming soon. ClearWave is fully accessible with VoiceOver. You can find the app at the following link:

Keyboard shortcuts will be coming in a later update

Will be trying this out.
I can love reaper as much as everyone else, but what I often need to do is just trimming.

First of all, this app might be a great idea, and thanks for your work. However, this app is paid, even though it’s a very small amount, it’s still paid, and when the Mac’s built-in QuickTime Player can do this exact same thing and is very accessible for us, I don’t see any reason for me to give my payment info right now. I hope to see it improve and become more useful in the future, and then I’d be happy to purchase and give feedback!

Reminds me of the above app by Rogue Amoeba. Thoughts? Fab idea and all the best!

so I bought this app twice, as the first time i wasn't sure how to get the download link, after closing Safari. so I used ApplePay the second time, thank you for having this option. you varified I have everything working in macOS. now, for the unfortunet news ... so i downloaded clearwave, several times, to ensure it wasn't user arror. how to open it, as you say, right click on the app name, and macOS will flag it, as it does not have a developer ID from Apple. now, I've opened other such apps, and they open fine. why doesn't clear wave? I purchased it to support independent development and give feedback. how can I? I own all of Apple's Pro apps suite, and, yes, Logic Pro i own as part of those, and technicley need nothing else for audio production. I wanted the app to open. it doesn't. it says MacOS cannot varify this app is free of malware, which can harm your computer. there is a 'done' option, and a 'move to trash option'. I hope this app gets more mature, and yes, if you actually submitted this app to the app store, it would be flagged, and sent back for review. one of Apple's app store guidelines, and what they check, is if an app can be opened. so there are WWDC videos, and in one such video, they go over demo apps. one, follows the review guidelines exactly, and one rushes through, which you appear to have done, unintentionally. I wish you best of luck, and look forward to providing feedback with future releases.
