Hi all,
I've got a 4th gen Focus 40 Blue which works well for the most part, but I really dislike the tiny space bar in the middle. It seems like it uses a different type of key mechanism than the dots in the Perkins keyboard. I find that when I'm trying to use the keyboard to navigate on my iPhone, the space bar stops registering after a while so the phone thinks I'm trying to input characters where they cannot be, i.e. a web page in Safari.
I've never seen the 5th gen Focus so don't know if the keyboard is improved at all on it. This may also be a weird issue with iOS since I also saw it when I had a HumanWare NLS Ereader although the Perkins keyboard was much nicer on it, aside from being more cramped since it's basically a software modified BI20X.
Anyone else having similar issues with iOS and navigating with a display? My iPhone is my only device, so can't test the display with Windows and a screen reader.
If I had the bucks I would consider sending it back to FS to get a good cleaning and a new battery since the battery percentage never goes below around 55% before the display just dies.

no issue
I use an Orbit writer but as far as the phone is concerned it is an Orbit reader 20. No issue.
