Auto language detection
Yes, as an iPhone user I am very very disappointment for auto language. Switching is not working in India.. why Apple accessibility team doesnβt understand the situation and why they donβt understand Indian, Apple users problems, specially with accessibility. Again and again, we are waiting for fix the problem. Please try to understand the situation and solve the auto language problem.
You can add punjabi to the list too
I need to switch manually. Or y have a specific bug cause I haven't reset for a long time?
Auto language deduction for Indian languages Hi, Iβm Poojitha fr
Hi, Iβm Poojitha from India. Iβm also facing the same problem with auto language detection. VoiceOver is not reading Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, or Malayalam correctly, and switching the rotor every time is very hard. I really hope Apple fixes this soon because it affects our daily use. Thank you.
Don't know what to do
V as an Indian user shared all the screenshot, screen recording, videos, to the Apple Accessibility team we haven't found the response properly they will give case ID and they will keep quite I don't know why it is happening and we can add Punjabi also in our post and I request anybody who is facing this issue can post below so that it reaches to the team through Applevis
No Auto language switching-South Indian voice over users
This has been the serious concern for many of the iOS South Indian visually impaired iOS users
We have made numerous attempts, but we are not heard
Every time, We encounter a South Indian language text message, we have to switch our router to that particular South Indian voice to be able to read the message while the other Indian languages like Hindi gets auto switched when any text in Hindi is detected. This benefits Hindi readers to access the content with ease.
We South Indians are being deprived of this ease of access to the content when we encounter any of our local languages
Many of our South Indian visually impaired individuals do not prefer iOS only because of this reason
Apple is renowned for itβs Accessibility. Any visually impaired individual would resort to iOS to make their lives, comfortable and engaging
But it is extremely disheartening that we are not heard about auto language, switching availability to the VoiceOver
I failed to understandWhen itβs competitor, Google is considering Accessibility features and keeping it in a top priority list,
When Google talkback is providing such option, we being iOS lovers are gifted with this disheartening experience
Someone should address our concern
V the South Indian doesn't know where to go and whom to approach to fix our Auto language detection issues so Applevis is the best platform who can support us hope we get our issue solved very soon through this platform I'm very happy to be member of this platform
AppleVis is not affiliated with Apple
Your best bet would be to email Apple at accessibility@apple.com
Written so many mails but no response
Hi Brian we shared screen recording and wrote to Apple Accessibility team but no response
Thank you for understanding our concern and responding for the post
this has to be addressed seriously.
even I have written so many mails, tweeted apple on x, wrote a post on linkedin but, no any response.
we do understand that, its not the job of applevis to get this up to the apple nor this is affilated with the apple, but we need this issue somehow get noticed and sent to apple via bug tracker.
Hope regarding solving the issue
You are really in need of this feature from Apple since we are all fond of Apple Accessibility but this glitch cannot be expected from these kind of bigger stakeholders
Happy to be at Apple's platform
As a visually challenged and being an Indian very happy to use iPhone for our best productivity and utility but this Auto language detection issue stop or workflow daily life we constantly write reports but I'm not finding any pathway to reach the issue at its peak to get resolved
