Accessibility Comments

For the most part, this is a very accessible app. I encountered two issues.
First, VoiceOver does not switch languages with the text in the app. So, if you are using VO in English and learning Spanish, VO will speak all Spanish words using your English voice. That leads to some truly hilarious pronunciations (i.e "Me llama"). Also, Since VoiceOver never switches languages based on the app's text, Braille displays won't show text in the second languages Braille code, either.
The other issue I noticed is that, during exercises that require users to spell words in Spanish, letters with acute accents (i.e á, é, í, ó, ú), are completely silent buttons using the Alex voice. However, I was able to read those buttons by character and determine which letter was there, and using another voice (Ava Premium) fixed the issue entirely.
Overall, I'd give it a try, but don't trust VoiceOver's pronunciations. The app pronounces everything on its own anyway.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

I tested this app as a native English-speaker learning Spanish. My findings may not apply to other languages, especially those that do not use the Latin alphabet (i.e Arabic, Chinese, Russian, etc). That being said, I am enjoying this app. It's a lot like Duolingo, but more customizable and straight-forward.

My subject basically says it all. How much of a language would I be able to learn without having to pay a subscription. I get that developers have to make money but I find it annoying when all you want to do is learn a language without having to spend money.

Given that English is also listed, what on earth is British in the list of languages?

Did not know British had their own language. Thought it was English? Nuts. Long live cats.

Whoa, lady, I only speak two languages , English and bad English...
