Accessibility Comments

I think the accessibility could definitely be improved. Sometimes when you’re flicking right to go through the list and you double tap the books, sometimes they don’t seem to open which means sometimes you do have to scroll up or down with three fingers to get it aligned with what you’re trying to listen to. When it comes to navigating the app, sometimes you’ll hit a line that just says screenshot. I’m pretty sure this just means that it’s the line space before the next book but I’m still playing around with it.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

Ok so despite some of the accessibility flaws, I absolutely love this app. Jeff Hayes, the guy who narrates the audiobooks of dungeon crawler Karl, which I highly recommend listening to, is the CEO. I first heard about this app when listening to one of the audiobooks for dungeon crawler Karl on Audible. They were doing a full on immersion tunnel of DCC and as soon as I herd that I was soled especially because I am absolutely obsessed with dungeon crawler Carl. They do have a lot of full on audio dramas with music, sound effects, actors, etc etc. Prices for the books are pretty reasonable as well. Let DCC season 1 be your first listen. It’s pretty epic! They’re in the middle of recording seasons two and three right now which should be out close to December but if you become obsessed like me, they have all seven of the audiobooks on Audible lol. I even bought all the print books for shelf trophies, even though I can’t read them.

I've been listening to books from Sound Booth Theater, and Jeff Hays solo before them, for many years now. He and they are absolutely amazing. I do hope this app gets some accessibility love and future updates, as I would absolutely love to have direct access to SBT's products.

Jeff Hayes can basically have my credit card at this point lol. Also you do have direct access. It’s pretty easy to make purchases through Soundbooth, It just depends on your level of patience. For myself, it’s pretty easy to navigate and do things, but I didn’t wanna give anyone high expectations. Everyone’s level is a little different when it comes to VoiceOver so I’d rather folks have low expectations and be surprised then have high expectations and be disappointed.

I once purchased the first volume of a side story, to a series that SPT narrates, titled "Everybody Loves Large Chests", by Neven Iliev. The website was a little tricky, but doable. I would likely just continue to do that, at least until this app gets some accessibility attention.

Everybody loves large chests is definitely on my list to listen to.

I should get volume 11. I'm just postponing it for now for when I have time to binge. Finished 10 books in 6 weeks. I'd just suggest discretion as it's not everyone's thing and probably one of sbts most controversial books. You either love it or hate it no in between.

Yeah, I noticed that "TalSarath" just came out on Audible. It's currently in my wish list, waiting until I get my October credit to pick that one up. :-)

I paid approximately $30 for this content when I first heard about it. I've got the SBT app, but can't find the content I purchased anywhere. Logic suggests that it should be in my library or whatever the equivelent is, but it's nowhere to be found. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I listened to part of it when I first purchased it, and even though I was thoroughly enjoying it, the app was so frustrating back then that I wasn't able to stick with it. Now, I'd love to get back into the immersion tunnel content since i'm re-reading the entire DCC series yet again, but it's still MIA.

I'm not familiar with this app, but if nothing else, you should be able to download your purchased content directly from their website.

HTH.

So check if you are logged into the sv app…also make sure you are in the right account. I am only saying this because I had that scare as well and the app made it look like I was logged in.

Not quite sure what I did, but I found the content I had purchased. Hopefully, I'll be able to find it again when I actually have time to listen. I didn't know I could download files from their web site; thought for sure they'd be copy protected, but if I can download them, I'd love to put them on an SD card for my victor reader. If not, I'll try to listen to them directly in the app. I'd definitely love for this app to become more accessible, but at least it doesn't seem to be draining my phone battery as severely as it did when I first installed it ages ago.
