Hello all,
I know in Jaws, there's a key that you can press on braille displays that allows you to switch between computer input, contracted braille output, and both contracted braille input and output. Does anyone know how to do this with a BrailleSense 6 mini and NVDA? I don't see anything in the keyboard manager, and don't see anything anywhere I can find. As of now, you'd have to go into NVDA'S settings and manually switch to the input/output you want for braille, so having a keystroke that would do this like Jaws does would be great, as Jaws doesn't really work with the BrailleSense 6 mini that well, and you can't customize keys like control, alt, etc. Thanks for any help anyone can provide on this.

Configuration profiles
It does seem strange that this keystroke is not available by default.
One way of getting a hot key would be to create a new configuration profile. Activate it and set up your alternate braille preferences. You can assign a keystroke to toggle that configuration profile on or off from the input gestures menu. This could work well if you aren't already using configuration profiles much for other purposes.
Braille Sense feature?
Could this be a feature that is built into your braille display itself, rather than a hot key or shortcut of the screen reader?
Asking because I know I listened to a YouTube video a while back that showed a blind user going through braille since settings, and they specifically mentioned doing a—space G— to switch to computer braille, on the display, rather than the computer keyboard. At least, I believe it was on the braille display itself. So I am just wondering if this feature works the same regardless of screen reader?
Genuinely asking here as I do not own a Braille Sense device.
