Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

The only bug that I have found that has been fixed is VoiceOver now says screen dimmed and then a second later it says screen locked whereas before it said screen dimmed followed by the app name E.G. Find my, which to me was very annoying. We're getting close to the final version, but not quite. just continue to send bugs you find to apple.

I think you are all incredibly brave beta test. I only have a primary phone and my secondary phone is being used as an iPod so I’d rather not touch the beta on either device. I’m probably not even going to update right away. I tend to wait till the first single dot release. So I probably won’t do it till 26.1. Unless there’s some really good reason for me to update prior to that, which for me would be if we got new voices. That’s my favorite part of the iOS every year.

For my iPhone 16 pro max. I will wait for the Letter A or the RC. Although yesterday it was letter A as apple. Will see if next week the RC comes out. Probably another A. Apple is strange regarding this.

I agree with JC that we are likely getting very close. If the past is any indicator, Apple won't release the RC until after their September media event. In terms of VoiceOver fixes, I wouldn't be surprised if what we have now is what we get in the RC/public release.

Hi, You are correct. Every year usually after each iPhone event Apple releases the release candidate (RC) version of the operating system to both developers and public beta testers. If they are bugs found then they release a second RC but only if they are last-minute bugs to be sorted out.

Well that means that apple will need to release another letter A. Will see. The developer and public beta now are in the same day. Next Monday will see. FYI. Apple does not releases anything in the first week of Sep, Holloday you know.

Hello. I'm using iOS 26.0 (23A5326a) on an iPhone 12 mini. The button to change podcast playback speed doesn't work at all with this beta. I learned that increased playback speeds up to 3x would be available, but I can't activate this function at all. Has anyone else experienced this?

The bug of not being able to download VoiceOver voices is still present here in Beta 7, and by proxy, Public Beta 4. I still can't download Alex, or any of the Vocalizer and Siri voices.

in 18,6 screen recognition has vanished even though it's on the rotor of items for Voiceover meaning i can't use the Plumb app here in the UK to withdraw money i've saved indipendently.

Just odd how screen recognition gone, is it restored if i try out the Beta of 26?

By Holger Fiallo on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 - 21:50

It is on beta public 4.

By Chris Hill on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 - 13:28

Back a version or two, you had to reboot the phone after an upgrade to make screen recognition work again, you might check that.

Well since the public beta 4 update a very weird thing is happening. Everytime a notification comes in my phone now says for example bbc news in 1 minute or breaking news in 1 minute. You get the drift 1 minute is appearing from nowhere. When you listen to the full notification it isn't there nor can I find anything on the screen so no idea where that is coming from. odd!

Can someone check if this option is accessible? That is, if VoiceOver reads the lens cleaning tips when it is dirty and we open the camera? This has to be activated in the camera settings

Hi guys, not sure if anyone noticed or even uses this, but now when you play an audio message in iMessage you can change the playback speed.

If you’re on the message, just use the rotor actions and you’ll see the different speed options.

I think it’s been around since iOS 16 or 17, not totally sure, but it wasn’t accessible with VoiceOver before. Now it works perfectly.

By Jokyboy129 on Sunday, August 24, 2025 - 07:42

The control for adaptive audio is no longer accessible in iOS 26.
