Visual Inteligence on IOS

With visual inteligence, on the iPhone, after taking a picture, and clicking the ask button, and swiping to the text description, that description is spoken, but the dialog seems to time out, and closes before I can ask any questions. Sometimes it times out before the entire description has been spoken. How to keep that on screen, so you can ask questions? I have even opened the edit box, and was typing in a follow-up question when it just timed out and closed. I must be missing something.

Same bug happens in notification. Hope this is fix on iOS 18.6. Have 16 pro max but had not use it yet. Still have the bug in notification regarding messages. It stop and closes.

Hi,
Where is this ask button? I've never seen anything like this. I mean, sure you can take a picture with Be My AI and have it described. But I've just taken a picture in the usual way with the default camera app, and then went into the photo I just took, and there are no options to ask a question. I mean, nothing even shows up briefly and then disappears. I take pictures from time to time with my phone, and have never seen anything like this. Are you referring to a non-native app like BeMyAI from Be My Eyes?

This is for iPhones from last year and this year. 15 and 16 and up.

Hi,
OK thanks. My phone is too old then. I'm on an iPhone 12 mini.

Is there a podcast that demonstrates Visual Intelligence? I'm curious how useful it really is for a blind user.

I think there is one.

It is quite useful to a blind person. It describes things pretty accurately. It just has this tendency to time out and close the result before you can ask any clarifying questions.

Ya, it's not on my SE 2022. Even though this feature has that bug, I'm beginning to realize I really, really would be happier with one of the upcoming models, even if just for the cameras.
