Can voiceover's volume be different from the system volume on an iPod? In other words, can I set Voiceover's volume to be louder than the music I'm playing?

Greetings. I would advise you to do a search before posting a new topic, there is plenty of information about adjusting VoiceOvers volume. Here are some examples. http://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ios-app-discussion/setting-voice-over-volume http://www.applevis.com/podcast/episodes/quick-tip-new-ios-users-adjusting-voiceover-volume If the feature is there, why not use it?

When voice over is speaking, the rest of the system volumes will lower till it finishes.

I know I am late to this topic… And that the question has already probably been resolved… But Isaac… Please do your research before you respond to a question with an answer that is blatantly wrong. I'm sorry if that seems harsh… And I know we all make mistakes… But that was a pretty authoritative answer and could've fooled somebody into being unaware of and what in some cases could be a crucial feature. Yes… While we do have audio ducking on iOS… And while many of us wish we could turn that feature off as we like to do our own mixing… Voice overs volume can be louder than the system volume. Go to settings, general, accessibility, and voiceover. Then go down to rotor. After selecting the rotor option and you're in the corresponding menu, navigate until you hear volume and make sure the box is checked. After doing this the option to adjust voice over volume… And voiceover volume alone will be available to you on the fly just by accessing the rotor. Do with two finger twist to access the rotor until you hear a voiceover say volume. Then flick down to turn voiceover volume down or flick up to turn voiceovers volume up to the desired level. This can be done from anywhere in the system… And you can also add options for things like speech rate and language. It's really that simple. Hope this helps three months late, Greg
