A few questions
Thanks for posting this app here! I downloaded it earlier today, and I noticed the same bug with selecting the voices,it can definitely be a bit confusing. Has anyone officially reported this yet? If not, let me know and I’ll drop them an email too. I'll check back again tomorrow, so hopefully it gets fixed soon—the earlier the better.
So here’s what I’m wondering: I haven’t actually gotten as far as creating any full audio content yet. I typed something into the box—just a quick test with a few lines I had written. But I’m a little confused about the character limit . Before I logged into my account, I remember seeing a 500-character preview box. When I started typing, it would show me something like “300 characters remaining,” which helped me track how much I’d written. Is there a hard limit on how many characters you’re allowed to generate at once? And does that vary depending on the generation model you choose? I’m assuming the newer models might have tighter limits on how much content you can generate, since they’re probably more resource-intensive. I tried generating a piece of content, but nothing happened—it didn’t give me the script. I don’t know if that’s because I went over the limit or for another reason. It would be beneficial to know how many characters you've typed into the box if there is a character limit per generation. Plus, estimation of time to generate the content, if applicable. I know that they have a free plan from using it on the website, but is it 10,000 credits per month, and do they roll over? Is their reader app connected to this one? Like, do we pay separately for each subscription per app, or is there a package where we can subscribe and get all the functionalities for both apps under the same account?
Thanks, these are the questions I have for now. Everything else is working perfectly
Good questions, I know on…
Good questions, I know on the website there is a character limit, and I notice the app is a bit buggy, I was just very happy because compared to the website, this app is so much more accessible. I also found the play button when messing around with stuff, but I don't know how I did it, if I find it, I'll post it here. But I don't know if the payments are linked, I would asume not, but I honestly don't know.
Uploading audio and visual aspects
By reading the description, it says that we are able to post the audio directly to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and so on. Do these platforms allow you to post only audio, or do they provide some kind of visual sample as well? Most platforms don't allow you to upload only audio, so it would be nice to have some kind of image. Like, maybe stock images that we can choose from. Sometimes, I generate audio, and I want to share the project on Facebook, for example, but I need a visual component. Normally, what I do is, I generate a picture, then, I import the audio, and the photo, into clips and stretch the picture over the audio. It would be nice to be able to download the audio with the video directly from the app, instead of having to go through all this hassle.
It's only a matter of time before they start offering image, video, and music generation as well. Mark my words. ElevenLabs is slowly taking the world by storm.
text limit.
If a person pays for the subscription, does the word limit go away? also when doing more then one voice in a document how is this done, and if there is a way to get everything working like it should can you download the files and re-master/edit/ things in a daw like reaper?
So many questions
I don’t want to come down too hard on them, because I honestly don’t know what the full plan is here yet. But I was reading a post yesterday—might’ve been on Twitter or somewhere else—and it mentioned that new users would be getting 10,000 credits per month to start. That sounds great, but it got me thinking:
Am I right to assume that at some point , you’re no longer considered a “new” user? And if that’s the case, do you stop receiving the 10,000 credits per month after a while? I’d like to understand the actual limits of the free plan , especially in the long term. The only aspect that bothers me a bit with this company—and I say this without trying to be unfair—is that they’re not very transparent when it comes to their free vs. paid offerings . I’ve noticed that they tend to give users rather generous plans upfront, which is fine, but then quietly reduce or restrict those offerings later on. And again, I get it—there’s nothing wrong with upgrading or paying for these products that provide value. That’s not the issue. I’ve seen them do this kind of thing before with the reader and it makes me a little hesitant to trust the rollout of this recording studio. Like, is it going to stay at 10,000 credits per month for free , or will it eventually be lowered to something like 5,000 , or even less? Will we end up needing to pay more money to access the same level of functionality we started with?
Yes, I know they offer credit bundles and subscription tiers. I wish they were a bit clearer upfront about what the plan is, so people can make informed choices without being caught off guard later. I’m not trying to stir up drama here—I’m simply wondering what the long-term model is going to look like. I have questions, and I'm going to get some answers from them.
