Is the fitness app on iOS broken?

Hello AppleVi’s members.
I hope you are having a great day so far.
I have a concern regarding the fitness app on the iPhone.
Ever since updating to iOS 18 which was released to the public on September 2024, the fitness app has become unaccessible with VoiceOver.
Especially the part when you want to view your trends or sessions.
When I double-click on any of these
It doesn’t work at all
It still stays on the homepage.
I will need to turn off VoiceOver every time to click into the section to view individual workouts and trends.
No idea, why is this issue still not resolved when iOS 26 is days away!
I remember it was very accessible in iOS 17 where you could click into your 3 most frequent workouts with no issue.
Do you observe this issue?

You need to click on See All Categories. Then you can activate them normally.

You probably know this, but the health app remains the same, if that has the features you need. I just use step count and deciBell exposure. Why both apps do mostly the same thing is a head-scratcher to me.

I have reported to Apple Accessibility; here is their response.

Thank you for your email and the attached screen recording.

We have reviewed the provided screen recording and noted the issue with VoiceOver and the Fitness app, where double-tapping on sessions does not activate the specific screen.

We will pass this information along to the appropriate team for their review and consideration.

Sincerely,
Apple Accessibility

Hi Christopher Ha
That’s excellent that you have managed to email the issue to them and its currently under consideration.
Previously, I have emailed them as well regarding it, but I did not do a screen recording and they have only created a case number but nothing has been done and no reply has been received ever since.
Hopefully they will get it resolved this time or by iOS 26 public version.
