Something good for facebook

Hi everyone. While some people enjoy the mobile site, others liked that friend mail thing, no pun intended on like, I prefer to be as mainstream as possible. So every time I want to update my status it's www.facebook.com for me. I noticed along with all the other changes, that it was impossible to mention someone anymore. I found out it's still the at sign, and the name. I couldn't make it work, until someone told me to use the tab key. That works fine if I wanted to mention anonymouse, but if I wanted to mention David, and since I know there are two Davids on this site, maybe more, I was unable to get down the list of names to select the right David. So I emailed accessibility. after providing an example like i have, and mentioning what OS i used, and the web, it turns out they were able to reproduce my problem. They will investigate and hope to have a work in the future. Thought others would want to know I did something good. :) Have a good one, Siobhan

Simple fix. type david, press tab, then use arrows. It works with jaws under windows.
i'm sorry, but to the previous poster, did you read the first post? she clearly said that she was on mac running OSX. i for one wouldn't just make the switch from mac to windows just to mention someone on facebook. mostly because i don't have a mac to switch from in the first place, but thats for a different time and beside the point... but this does sound really good. mentioning people on facebook has been one of the hardest thing to do for a long time and i'm glad we might be seeing a quicker and/or easier way here in the future.

Cory, Kyle is mostly right, except the reason I emailed accessibility in the first place was because someone gave me the same suggestion ver batem you did. So obviously I tried it. :) Kyle thanks for replying, thank you both actually and heres hoping they will be able to label something or at least tell us it works. Oh and since the latest update, my mobile app keeps crashing when I open it. Stupid pain in my. Ahem! Sorry, G rated. ;)
yeah. i went back and reread the first post and was gonna edit what i said down. but you posted first. lol. but yep it does seem to crash for mobile devices. :( again sorry.

Hi Kyle, no need to apologize. In fact I would've taken that tone with someone who'd asked my question, then responded like that. I can think of a few here who have this quality of intelectual difficulty. :) Anyway thanks for responding and like I said no harm done. do it again, and i'll meet you after school by the picnic table. and come alone. ;) vague bully threat there. And for god's sake no I'm not really threatening anyone in case someone freaks. :)

You are actually lucky you get a reply I provide a detailed bug report every time I find something and I don't get any replies and nothing gets fixed. I personally use the facebook mobile site in developer mode on safari as for me that's way easier to use.
That's exactly why this thread was started, to show people sometimes it's just showing them what's going on. I also got another good reply from an app developer some time back who not only eventually fixed the app, but provided a document of all the recipes and some not included yet so I wouldn't miss out.
