Opinions on the new Grok app?

I was just curious on people’s opinions on the new Grok app. I’ve been using the app for a week now, and I’ve really enjoyed my experience with using it. I’m wanting to upgrade to the pro version of the app, but I find the plans to be ridiculous, and to be hilarious at the same time. I’m mainly wanting to upgrade so I can use the new voice mode that was added, and of course to be able to take advantage of all the other features like the deep search mode, and the think mode, but I just find the prices for monthly, and yearly to be a lot of money, which I guess is expected, but I was just curious on other people’s opinions on using Grok, and if you have upgraded to the pro version of Grok, and if so did you upgrade to the monthly or yearly? Thanks in advance.

Pricing is crazy, but I'm falling in love pretty quickly with what it already can do for free users.

Yes same here, I just find it annoying, when it tells me i reached my limit, it feels as they are forcing the SuperGrok down our throats, which is maybe there intentions to make us upgrade to SuperGrok.

Sorry guys. Just found Grok in the App Directory and answered my own question.

A dedicated Grok app seems cool and I'd say it's pretty accessible, but I wonder how is it any different from, say, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini?

How is the GUI with this app? I've used a number of AI applications, finding that I enjoy Claude the best in terms of its layout.
So how does this app fare? :)

The new Grok 3 is better than ChatGPT according to users on Reddit. And it's pretty much uncensored. I did pay for it when it was £20 a month, but I unsubscribed since I didn't think I would use it much. But I haven't checked out this new model or the iOS app yet. since it's now gone up to £31 a month, I won't be paying for it for the foreseeable. I'll have to check out the free version at some point though.

the Grok 3.0 itself is dope! The best thing is, it's unsensored for the most part so if you want image descriptions that other models wouldn't do, you could try this. and crazy superb image generations. and access to X data. and I felt it does the best deep search among Grok/Chat gpt/Gemini. Haven't tried the voice mode out; should find a way of doing that.

I just checked the pricing, and in Australia, it's about $50 per month or $500 per year.

Right now, I’m subscribed to Perplexity, which costs around $30 per month or $300 per year. I think it's a good value since it lets you switch between AI models, but it doesn’t support Grok 3.

I'm considering switching to ChatGPT because its monthly plan costs the same as Perplexity, and I don’t really use the other AI models Perplexity offers.

Plus, GPT+ supposedly allows for more capabilities.

It remembers things quite solidly, and keeps track of a conversation even when far into it. So far, it hasn't forgot that I am blind, or mix up my activities with that of a sighted person. With ChatGPT, I often find myself seeing things that I should be hearing or feeling. I tell you, I'm in love with its storytelling capabilities. It even mixes English with Afrikaans in that funny way South Africans do. It knows when something is kak.

Hahahaha you killed me broer. It even knows kaak!
