Custom voice keyboard shortcuts in Speech Central

The latest version comes with one new feature - you can assign a custom keyboard shortcut to any voice from the context menu in the Voices list.

After that you can change voices directly from the player with those shortcuts. It works seamless even if voices are from different engines, everything will change on the fly.

The only catch is that you should try to make the keyboard shortcut that is not in the conflict with existing shortcuts - nothing bad will happen if you do just the shortcut in that case may call the current command and not the voice.

Wouldn't have been much of more use if you allowed customisation of keyboard shortcuts for commands instead of voices? I mmean like bookmarking and commenting. Bookmarking content still has no keyboard assignment.

I appreciate your answer, but we have discussed exactly the same thing before, so I can't repeat it in all details. But there is such thing.

The good thing is that this particular development has helped me to better understand on how the internal Apple's logic for SwiftUI menu is working and why it doesn't work as expected/advertised in some use cases and finally how to workaround those limitations/bugs.

As such it is likely that Command+D will work in all use cases, unlike now where it works just in most use cases.

Appreciating your effort.

I have just created that new bookmarking entry in main menu and it works including its shortcut, so it will be there in the next version.
