Using product recognition on Seeing AI

I have the newest version of Seeing AI. I am having a hard time finding the product recognition function. The help says double tap and hold on the Seeing AI icon on the home screen to bring up THE shortcuts. I have product selected as one of my home screen shortcuts. I cannot find the seeing AI icon, or for that matter the home screen. Any help. I must be missing something.

Tap and hold on the app icon itself, on your homepage, i.e., your app listing, but you should be able to access it through a one of the tabs located at the bottom of the screen

I do tap and hold on the tabs at the bottom of the screen and I get the Siri shortcuts, not the Home shortcuts. I have selected product in the home shortcuts. I do not see a place to select product shortcuts in the Siri shortcuts.

you need to go to more, it's the bottom right tab, that's where the barcode thing has been placed now.

There are three menu selections to use. Siri shortcuts, Home shortcuts, and Channels. I finally got the Home shortcut to work by tapping and holding down on the Seeing AI icon on the home screen. This is not very useful since I wuld need to scroll through many screens to find it, even if I have my apps sorted. I finally saw channels and selected it. Now it shows up when I double tap and hold on the More tab. I probably will like the new layout some day but not today. Thanks for all that have contributed to my concerns. I think all is better now. Not great, but better.

If you have your Siri shortcuts set up for the Seeing AI app, you can simply do the following to initiate certain features of the Seeing AI app.
Say, "Hey Siri, recognize ... " , and then one of the following to activate that particular channel and function.
"Short text", for the short tax feature.
"Document", to scan a document, such as snail mail, a business flyer, or whatever's clever.
"Product", to use the barcode feature.
"Light", to scan your surroundings for a light source.
"Currency", to scan paper money.

HTH.

Okay the key is to make sure that the item to view is checked in the collections section. Once I checked the product item in collections, then the product started to show up in the Siri shortcuts. I was able to setup Siri shortcuts for a couple items like recognize product and browse photos. I am sure I'll add some more items as time goes on. Items like recognize documents and people. All is very good now. Thanks to all for helping. Maybe I am a bit slow or the documentation needs to be a little clearer. Anyway I am liking this new version of Seeing AI. I may use this more than Be My Eyes for day to day assistance.

Also, I think you were misunderstanding the earlier post about double tap and hold. That was not meant to be done in the app. That is from the home screen. If you double tap and hold on the Seeing AI icon on the home screen, it will bring up a shortcut menu that will take you straight to product recognition. HTH

Yes, at first, I did not understand the home page. I just do not think of all the apps on the iPhone as home. Now I do. If that was the only way to get to some of the functions, that would not be very good. Now I understand that there are multiple ways to get to the Seeing AI functions. I like the Siri short cuts. I wish there was the document function as part of the Siri shortcuts. I'll use the Seeing AI some more and try to get it setup the best I can. If t is much more functional than I originally had thought. Thanks for your help.
