My 7.03 update on my IPod Touch 5 caused it to go into recovery mode. A friend of mine also had a problem--fortunately, we were able to get hers working w/just a reset. Any1 else have any experiences?

I had no issues with the 7.03 update on my iPhone 5s or my iPhone 4 - I do have the issue where the voiceover volume can't be raised above 35%, otherwise all Ok so far

I'm happy to report that the 7.03 update has fixed all my issues with my iPhone 4S. I was thinking I'd have to upgrade now whether I wanted to or not. I'm eligible but just don't want to put the money out at this point. My battery wasn't lasting longer than 5 hours with the previous update, and it was very slow even with the settings adjusted. Siri was not working well at all either. Happily my batter life has improved greatly with this last update and all other issues were resolved as well.

Hello Able Tec, No, I have not had any issues when updating to the iOS 7.0.3. Out of the seven devices I have updated myself. None had any issues as you have described. These were on iPhone 4, 4s, 5 and iPad. There are times I have seen that people lost power or the battery went out during the update. Plus, they had a poor connection when updating their iOS. These sorts of times can be problematic for some. So the Recovery Mode would not be out of the question. It does happen at times. However, I have not seen a large or an abnormal number of people reporting issues with the iOS 7.03 that you have experienced. I also have to concur to the above message. Although, it never stated in the release note of the iOS 7.03. I have also seen drastic improvements with the battery life on the iPhone 4 and 4s devices. So they had to have done something because I have heard now five people have said the same thing. Sorry, that you had the problem. So were you able to get yours corrected and back in order?

Sorry, that you had the problem. So were you able to get yours corrected and back in order? No. Looks like I'll lose everything, provided I can get it running at all. O, well--my music's on my pc & I can always download apps, books, etc., I guess. Pain in the anatomy, though. The update's taking several hours, so I won't know until tomorrow whether it's bricked or whether I'll be able to recover it. I was able to help my friend w/a reset, but mine's thoroughly broken at this juncture.

Hello AbleTec, Sorry to hear of the troublesome problem you are having. As long you can continue with the download. You may still have some chance to get things back up and running. Did you backup to your iCloud before you did the update? If so, you can always recover from the iCloud. Yes, any of the MP3 and such that doesn't get stored in to the cloud might be lost. Unless, of course you had this set to back up everything in the iCloud. So all of the apps, settings, arrangements and such should be fine if you restore it from the iCloud. So keep us posted of your results. Plus, if any one else have any other ideas that would help AbleTec. Please feel free to jump in in what they can do to get this back up and running. Especially if you have this kind of experience before to let AbleTec know of what to expect.

Hi. I'm also sorry your iPod is essentially bricked. My old iPhone four, did that twice, once on thanksgiving, once on Christmas. both times, I'd gone out to the same restaurant the night beofre withthe battery around 50 percent. I swore it was that restaurant. lol. Seriously thouh if you've backed up the iPod to your pc, you have a good chance of restoring as well Though I'm on a mac and not a pc, I'm not sure how it works, I hope this helps. good luck ad please let us know what happens.

Hi, I had no problems and I'm sorry that you have experienced major issues. Have you taken your phone to the Istore in your region, maybe they can restore the phone back for you and get it back to the setup screen for you as well as update it while they busy. I once interrupted an update while it was installing and it went into restore mode but other then that I never have had problems. I have an IPhone 5. I'm glad you can get your content back but its terrible when you run into these complications and especially because I devices are very expensive. Good luck. Mine downloaded automatically, I think with app refresh and then I just had to install it. It restarted and then works like a charm.
