1. Voiceover on the mac is as bad as the french language (speaking from experience), there is no rule, just exception. (I speak it and am formally allowed by the oqlf or académie française to make fun of the french language in english as it's a sensitive topic)
2. The original developer of VO was using emacs all along to code VO for mac, so the 4-5 fingers shortcuts and the subsequent pain is his revenge on us poor blind users. Then single key quick nav for the web was reluctantly added by another dev using vim but the first guy didn't like vim so he made this feature unreliable.
😂
Let me know what you think! I know that the second one is way more accessible to a broader public.

So I shouldn't be saying…
So I shouldn't be saying anything, I've barely touched MACS and my experience with Emax mostly involves a few minutes of frustration and profanity. I've been meaning to give it more time for years, I don't doubt it's powerful. Anyway, I think this speaks to a broader problem with screen readers and the web. Lock users into a good quick nav virtual pc cursor browse mode style thing and they'll struggle with site specific keyboard shortcuts, make it something kind of clunky you have to enable and routine web browsing is so much harder. I don't really know how that balance works on macs but funnily enough I think google came closest to getting it right with chromevox, again just for the web, but most people don't know or care. Anyways, the TLDR is this was probably a pointless comment haha.
It was pointless. Agree with…
It was pointless. Agree with chromevox is quite incredible on the web. But you ruined my joke and for this I am mad at you. Anyone, please? I'll post this on r/blind too. It's very important! I know you all agree with me. I thank you for your deep understanding of the subject.
Ruined?
I barely got the joke haha, I just know eMax broke my brain. It does seem like a pickle on the web though, didn't mean to rain on your parade.
You were too serious.
You were too serious.
ADHD brain
Appologies, you just reminded me of this issue with screen readers on the web which really does seem like quite the catch 22. Anyways, if I'm too dense for the joke wouldn't that just make it funnier for more discerning folks? :)
Niche joke for a niche audience
There is only a small group of people who may, or may not, even get this joke, or reference.
Ergo, you have failed. 😞
