Hey all, I know that dictation is a bit unreliable, so here’s a tip to hopefully fix it.
First off I want to say, you’re mileage may vary but with that out of the way, let’s go.
Go to settings greater than accessibility greater than Siri, then Click on the switch that says listen for atypical speech, I found this to be really really helpful when it comes to dictation, since we all know it’s inaccurate enough to be dangerous, especially if you don’t look at it before sending. as a little show of faith, I’ll submit this unedited, no matter if there are mistakes, because I’m so confident in this. yes, this was recorded with Apple dictation

Is this on Mac, or IOS?

If this is on IOS, then is this part of the new Apple AI features?

My reason for asking is that I have an iPhone 13 and this setting isn't there under the Siri section of accessibility.

This should be available to everyone. So long as their device can run iOS 18, that is. It is simply under settings, accessibility, Siri. It is between the option for requiring Siri for interrupts, and showing background applications.

My iPhone 13 mini is on IOS 18.2.1 and it's definetely not there, so not sure why.

Thanks anyways, was curious to see if this improved my dictation, but alas, not to be!
