Is I works - pages & numbers, totally usable with voiceover? I am not running a business, just househould & investment budgeting. Thanks, Catherine

First off, welcome to the community hope you find interesting answers here. In my limitted experience, pages worked on before, but apparently now has been much improved. Thing s like formatting are now easier and i've also heard numbers is accessible. they are 20 bucks, but if you decide to go with the air, you'll be able to get them for free. Themac is a bit of a learning curve, but sine you have an iPad you'll be well on your way to doing just fine. There's plenty of help around, just scream and someone will come running. ;) good luck and hope my answer helped somewhat.

I can't tell you about Numbers and Keynote because I haven't had time to look at them yet, but the new version of Pages is certainly the most accessible word processing app I have seen in a long time. It works great, and VO can now properly interact with tables. Templates also work very well, and placeholders are clearly announced by VO so that you can enter text in the right places. Pages is very enjoyable to work with at this point. The only time I opened Keynote I simply browsed through a spreadsheet typing random numbers in different cells and everything seemed to work just fine, but I really don't know about performing calculations, creating charts etc. I should look into that soon. Good luck!
Thanks for the info. My biggest worry is handling copies of bank transactions. My habit is to copy the confirmed payment & save it in a word document. Going in a paperless direction, there must be a way to keep copies of financial transactions on a I pad or mac. Tks, Catherine
