Table title reading in new Pages as good as Word with JAWS!

I've now had time to fully test this and am really really impressed. title reading is easy to set up - for row, column or both. If your familiar with how JAWS works, this works exactly the same. As you move around the table, VoiceOver announces what changes. As you move across from column to column, the column title is announced. As you move up and down from row to row, the row title is announced. I'm very impressed and have put my planned purchase of Office 2013 on hold. JT

Just to add - you can have different setting for each table in a document and Pages remembers the setting after closing and reopening the document.

Hello, I was wanting to know if pages now allowed for citations to be inserted, such as mla, or PHA? I know the old pages needed endnote, but this would really help the break away from windows. Also, how is reading of presentations and spread sheets in the new updates? Thanks, Darrell

Hi, It appears that they've done some work on the underlying APIs to make table navigation more consistent. What do you mean by table settings? Do you mean there is now a way to tell VO which rows and columns are to be used as headers just like JAWS or NVDA do - and if yes, how can that be done? TIA, Roland

Exactly, you create a table and then you can specify which row and column should be used for column and row title reading. Of course, you can have one or both or neither to. The options when creating a table are a bit weird, I need to ask someone sighted what the difference between basic and modern is and I can't see that Header is any different as well.
