After seeing it in the AppleVis newsletter, I decided to try the game LetterLike? I like the game, but don't see any way to buy gems. Has anyone found a way to do this?
TIA,
Donna
I think you need to keep as many coins as possible, then once you lose, you should be able to find a button that says something like 30 button, I'm not sure how many coins you need though, i'm assuming 30, but I don't know how you're meant to get that many, if you're score is perfect you'd probably be able to, i think each perfect score is 7 max?
I think you're right, but I can't figure out how to do it. Also, it seems like you don't keep coins from game to game, which doesn't make sense. I keep trying to buy an extra letter, which supposedly only costs one gem, but I'm told I don't have enough coins. Either I'm missing something, or the accessibility isn't there, I'm not sure which.
The way it works is, coins only exist in your game, that's why you buy gems, they exist between games and let you upgrade stuff, like how many letters appear for you to choose from and so on.
To buy them, you either have to have at least 30 coins when you lose, or when you win a level which is 3 games in a row you get given an option to collect coins or gems. It doesn't say, but the first number is coins, the second gems.
This was helpfuol, thanks! I managed to buy a gem. It wasn't the one I wanted, but I bought one. :) The one I wanted was to get an extra letter, it looks like the one I got, increases the value of the third letter. Not sure how to get more letters, seems like you need them as you move up to higher levels.
So I just beat level 1 for the umteenth time. I've tapped on everything on the screen, but cannot buy gems. What am I missing here? There has to be a way to do this, or no one would play this game
You don't buy them, a seed is a bunch of numbers and letters, if another person has the game downloaded, they can put that number and letter combo in a box and get your exact game.
I don't know why you'd want to do this with this type of game but you can.
@Brad, I agree. I don't want to do that, but am glad to know what it's for so I can ignore it. :) @ Brian, I hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
When you finish all three rounds, you have a chance to purchase more bonuses. When you get to the next screen, the game appologizes for being a sore loser. You are presented with two choices, three coins or one gem. I found this out by accident!
Hi,
I recently heard about this game through the Mobile accessible games facebook group.
I sent the developer an email & asked if I could test both versions for accessibility & provide feedback, to which he agreed & gave me promo codes for both the iOS & Android apps.
I plan to provide my feedback today.
I may even include a copy of this thread, as I have the same questions about gems & that button that's labeled "30."
I'll keep you guys posted as to when I hear back & what he says.
The developer's really nice. I've emailed him quite a few times about this. last night, he told me that he pushed an update to Apple labeling the Gems option, so we'll see what happens once Apple approves the update. I also told him I think a little help section would be helpful to explain things like what a seed is for, and the coin/gem system. He probably thinks I'm crazy to be so determined, but I'm having knee replacement after the holidays, and this is exactly the kind of game I'd like to have to occupy me while I'm laid up.
Just wanted to say thanks. I've seen that screen, but obviously didn't know what the three and 1 were for. Also, in case you didn't know this, the dev told me that you can discard multiple letters at once. You can even discard your whole hand if you want. Just select as many as you want, and then tap Discard. Hope this is useful. It's come in handy for me a few times.

The game isn't for me but I think I know how.

what are seeds, and how do they work?
My other question is about seeds. what are they? How do you use them? thanks!
Still cannot buy gems

Screen recognition?
Hi,
I do not play this game, so I wouldn't know, but does screen recognition work with this game?
Just thought I would ask. 😃✌️
