VO repeating screen-lock on Ios 7.0.3

HI. I'd just updated to Ios 7.0.3. I think it is not much new differencing accessibility for us. But a little bit problem actually. When I'll tap on screen-lock button on the top of my iPhone, then Voice over says ;screen-lock; after few seconds VO reapiting the same ;Screen-lock;. Before I could tap once to lock the screen by the VO saying it but now it's saying screen-lock again after few seconds. Do you agree with me? It's nothing we can do or?

Yeah, we've already mentioned it in another topic about iOS 7.03. It's a bug.

I've noticed this as well. It's by no means a deal breaker for me, but it is a weird little quirk. I hope they fix it soon. I'm just grateful that the touch screen sensitivity issues seem to have been fixed.

I am having the same problem. Vo is repeating screen lock each time I lock the screen.

This bug has been around since iOS 7 gold master. I don't know why it's just now affecting people, but I have had it since updating in August.

I too have had this issue since updating to 7.0.3. This is the first time I have encountered it when locking the screen. Now, I have encountered it, and continue to do so, when the screen is locked and you adjust the volume on the side of the phone or using headphones. After you adjust the volume, a few seconds later, VO interrupts whatever I am listening to by blatting out "SCREEN LOCKED". That has been around since updating to IOS 7, but the repeat of "Screen locked" is new for me since 7.0.3.

Hi Personally I think who this voiceOver bugs repeating screen lucked twice it's a small bug. usually apple fix issues on the bigger updates I don't say who is not important of course is frustared but should wait until next release of 7.1 pobrably next month not with before menjtion apple said could take a time so what alse wait if apple has over one year to fix voiceOver bug showed on navegating by heading or links. I have a iPhone 5S and let me say who is the most unstable version of iOS using voiceOver I have seen a lot of bugs or issues on the iOS sofware running on the 5S as I said are on the software and nothing to do with the hardware.
Hi all. I'v had this issue with my old four since IOS4 or five. It made me nuts. Just tap the button twice quickly orignore the screen locked message. Good luck on accessibility giving two thumbs up about it, they have way more important things then that. As someone said, wait until the update. And if you're lucky maybe that will be the least of the worries. :)

Hi! I'm surprised there's been so many posts about this tiny little issue of an extra announcement, both on Twitter and everywhere else. It doesn't really stop you from doing anything. I could understand if it was actually stopping you from being productive, but it's really not. At any rate, I've bugged this with Apple and sent them a report. It obviously needs to be fixed anyway. I've bugged the volume screen lock issue a while back, and hopefully they'll fix that too. I have a lot of open bug reports they need to respond to. This is one of the easy ones to reproduce, and one of those bugs I actually can reproduce. Keep in mind that the ones I can't reproduce, I can't report at all, since Apple wants device logs a lot of the time, so reporting bugs based on what other people experience doesn't work. I've seen several people getting pissed at me on Twitter regarding this, but I really can't report bugs I'm not seeing. I've seen a few fairly isolated bugs, or bugs that only show on certain devices and so on. In the future, you may want to send Apple device logs yourself when you e-mail them so your issue has a bigger chance of getting fixed. As I said above, if people can't replicate your issues, they can't be reported through the bug reporter, so this is a lot more helpful. This is particularly true if your issue is rather isolated, or only happens in certain cases. You can get the iPhone Configuration Utility for both OS X and Windows and you can plug in your device when opening the application. Then do the following:
  1. Choose your device under the "Devices" section
  2. Choose the Console tab
  3. Reproduce your issue
  4. Click the "Save as" button to save the output to a file
  5. Attach the console log when sending your e-mail to Apple
I hope this helps. This will help Apple to easier track down your problem, at least if it's a more isolated issue as is sometimes the case.

Hi. I didn't know you could save log files. That's a good idea for as you said, isolated issues. Personally I think this is an annoyance that we can all deal with and I wouldn't really see the need to make this post now ten comments long. :) Just my view though. Thanks again.

i understand this problem may have been bugging some without end, but there is a more serious problem, and it is accessibility related. the problem is that vo no longer announce "screen dim" before screen lock if you have screen curtain on. now you might ask why would i need that? in fact, i recall reading some posts denouncing this feature. well, the benefit of this is that you can intervene before your screen actually locks. right now, if you are thinking of something or otherwise not careful, your screen will lock unceremorially and you'll have to unlock your phone again. i guess apple did listen to some of the feedbacks not wanting this feature? careful what you wish for, because you might get…and in this case, you got it. anyone experienced the problem i described above, would you please chime in and write apple? thanks. p.s.: i didn't apple should change the behavior to what it used to be, but at least give us an option to configure it.
Hello. Personally, I don't see why it should say screen dimmed when screen curtain is on, because its not actually dimmed is it? The screen is dark there for can't be dimmed any more therefor there's no point saying it. You can either set your screen lock delay longer or turn it off.
I do not miss the "screen dimmed" saying at all. I wouldn't mind having the announcement as an option, but frankly there are way more things that need fixing with accessibility than this in my mind.

when you turn on screen curtain, nothing is display on the screen, but the screen is not completely dark, the backlight is still on. announcing screen dim gives the same information everybody has, so that you know your screen is dimmed and your phone is about to lock itself.
I just set my screen lock auto thingy to never and manually lock the phonee, it might not be that much of an idea, but figured I'd offer my two sense
