Hi community!
So I know I typically only post questions on here, but wanted to start a little discussion if that's permitted in this forum.
I'm wondering what you all use Airi for, specifically the agents, not Access AI. And if you use it for navigation purposes, what do you use it for?
I've heard of it but just started recently using it and love it.

Navigation
Hi,
I have only used the Aira agents a couple of times and that has been for navigation purposes. As part of my commute to and from work I have to change between two buses, and my local bus interchange is a nightmare to navigate around. It's a wide open space with no tactile indications of where the different stands are, and very few landmarks to help orientate yourself. I'm sure we all know the kind of place.
Most of the time I'm able to either figure it out or get help from a member of staff or the public, but on a couple of occasions I have called Aira and explained where I'm trying to get to. They have been fantastic every time.
Personally I will always use Aira for navigation as I feel it's quite a big ask to put on an untrained volunteer like you get with Be My Eyes. Plus, the Aira agents can see your GPS location which, while not much help in my case with the bus station, can be a huge help when you're trying to get from one place to another.
I got the Meta Ray-ban glasses recently and am looking forward to using Aira and Be My Eyes on those.
GPS and the glasses
I've been curious about the GPS location. Is this only done at free access points? Or can they see where I am, say, if I call from my apartment?
I want to invest in gthose glasses myself! I've been watching videos and they seem great.
inaccessible websites!
I've used Aira to help navigate inaccessible sites or just to learn more information about the layout of a particular site. My favorite way to do this is to use the desktop Aira app and then have the agent connect to my computer using Remote Incident Manager. This allows the agent to not only have a full view of my screen, but they can also hover or click the mouse if necessary. I recently had to perform a task using a very inaccessible app. This set up allowed me to accomplish the task in less than five minutes. Really helpful and quite slick.
Lyft
I've asked an agent to schedule a Lyft for me, then track it and direct me to the vehicle when I was in a busy area.
various things
Hi,
I've used it for reading payment card info, helping me take photographs of things like a covid test result and documents, and I did a screen share with an agent to help me take a picture within the Revolut app for verification purposes. Can't think of anything else at the moment. These were all free calls. I did pay for a month but never ended up using it and cancelled my subscription.
