Hi. I have an iPhone 13 running ios 18.1.1 and I can't seem to add apps into folders using the rotor. Every time I try, it just drops the app on the home screen next to the folder instead of putting it inside.
I've tried restarting my phone to no success, and double tap and hold doesn't seem to work to move apps at all. Anyone else having this problem?

This is an iOS 18 issue
Unfortunately, this issue has been around since iOS 18.0. It is reportedly going to be fixed in the 18.2 update coming soon. However, in the meantime, you could do one of two things.
1. Navigate to the item you want to move into a folder. Flick up or down and choose drag.
2. Navigate to the folder you want to put the item into, and double tap that folder to open it. Then navigate to any of the items within that folder, flick up or down and choose either drop before or drop after and most of the time this will work.
Alternatively, you can double tap and hold on the app you want to move into a folder, then move your finger to said folder, and release. This is the old way of dragging and dropping, and still works.
Hmmm...
For me, this option with the rotor doesn't work either. However, when I move the application manually, it works without any issues.
iOS 18.2
It should be out Monday unless Apple is playing with it or get the RC if you do not want to wait.
iOS 18.2
The issue is, indeed, fixed in iOS 18.2.
rc is pretty much same as 18.2 I think
from what others have said the RC is the same as the final release if you don't want to wait grab the RC.
