using Jaws or NVDA, I have inserted several comments on a MS word document received from a sighted person. The screen readers anounce the presence of a comment as I read the document. But the person does not seem to understand that there are comments. How to explain her/him?

The comments should appear to the right of the document by default. If they don't the person may need to select the "comments" button on the right side of the ribbon. Here is the Microsoft article that explains this in better detail.

They need to look at the document in Word
I once had this issue and discovered that the recipient of the document was reading it as an email attachment on their phone rather than in Microsoft Word.

Thanks Stephen and TJT. It's very much a possibility that the person is browsing the doc on the phone. On the Word proper, it should be visually obvious that there are comments.
