Hi,
I just upgraded to iOS 18.1.1 on my iPhone 13. So far, I'm enjoying the new features, but when I tried calling my landline number to test the new Call Recording feature, I didn't see the Start Recording button on the Phone screen, just the More Info, Keypad and End Call buttons. Does anyone know if this feature is supported on my device, and is it available in Canada?
Thanks for your help.
Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia

Yes. did you turn it on? Setting, phone and you will see it there. Also Thomas did a podcast on it that might help.
Already On
Hi Holger. I checked the Phone app, and it's already on. Thanks for letting me know about the podcast; I'll listen to it shortly.
Figured Out What Was Wrong
I just listened to the podcast about Call Recording. It turns out I had to hide the keypad. Once that was done, the button became visible and works as advertised.

Thought so but was not sure. Glad that it help.
A friendly heads up
Hi,
Do beware that when/if you ever record a phone call, both parties absolutely will be notified with an automated voice. Both for starting the recording, and stopping the recording.
Just a friendly neighborhood FYI. 😇

Like how Thomas address this in his podcast. Although it was his mom, he told her that this was being recorder. Suggest that also you mention it. This is good for when you need to talk to businesses such as phone companies who are giving you a hard time or when you need specific instruction and you want to make sure is right.
Yeah, you kinda have to
Unless you live in one of those rare states, that only requires one party consent, you kinda have to ask permission before you can legally record somebody.
