I found this service:
https://www.whatsgpt.me/
It looks like it is possible to send pictures via whatsapp to ChatGPT. Maybe you can also ask questions about the pictures you have send.... This combination with the Ray Ban meta glasses.... :D
But the price is 10 dollar a month. To high for me

The question is
Whether it requires our API key; in other words, do we need to be subscribed to both this service and chatgpt seperately...
Describing people?
I was hoping that this would allow having a photo of a person taken using the glasses and sent to WhatsGPT to have the person described, but doesn't look like this is possible.
You're going to have to pay for these survices for a long time.
I don't know if they'll ever be free but chat gpt stuff like that is always paid for.
I doubt you'll ever be able to get people described, it brakes certain laws. I can see where they're coming from but can also see why it's frustrating for the blind.
AI for blind will describe people
AI for blind can describe people, such as: Be My AI, AIRA Access AI, Agiga Echovision glasses, and TalkBack Gemini.
Chat GPT can also describe…
Chat GPT can also describe people. I'm not sure what they are using for this service and have no real experience with the API, but assuming it has the same guard rails as the Chat GPT app, it should describe expression, hair colour, style, etc but please be respectful how you use this, information should not be inferred by how someone appears. I say this as someone who wears a potato sack and haven't washed or shave for 13 years.

Ever since they started making potato sacks out of plastic mesh, that will get you locked up...
I find myself reading through the Google AI results they stick up as the first result now. Gemini, I think it is. It's come up with a few strange results. I should start searching for descriptions of people for entertainment.
Wondered why it was a bit…
Wondered why it was a bit drafty!
using this with the Meta Ray-bans
Hi all,
So in sheer frustration and disappointment, I've just posted on the Meta Ray-bans UK thread that I won't be getting these now, since it's now been announced that the look and ask feature won't be available from January here in the UK. I was wondering if the WhatsGPT thingy could be a workaround. But according to the below blog post, you still need the Meta AI to get it to work, and even then, you need a server which I wouldn't pay for just for this.

So still no luck. Maybe I'll wait for the EchoVision glasses and see what people's opinions are on those.
This is such a mess. Meta…
This is such a mess. Meta have really dropped the ball with transparency of roll out. I've got look and ask here in the UK, but did set them up a long time back with a VPN, so I'm not sure if it's that that did it or I'm just one of the lucky few. I also have Meta.com going through a US DNS, but don't think that does anything.
We don't want flaky though, or a need to 'hack' our way into it.
Is January the confirmed date for launch then? To be fair, that's only just over a month away.
Personally, I avoid specialist glasses now as I don't think they have quite the longevity of mainstream products. Plus, they may look a bit dorky. I'm not keen on equipment that makes me stand out as different.
access through VPN
Hi Olly,
Access through a VPN seems to be getting harder now, judging by the comments on the meta UK thread. I know what you mean about the specialist glasses. The EchoVision ones could be promising, but if they look weird that'll put me off.
