Will do so when the RC comes out. Want to see if the new features work with VO. 16 pro max so it will be interested to see. Hope the features are accessible. If I recall iPhone mirror did not became accessible until this year. This is not acceptable to me. I am a consumer and I am paying for my phone. It is not free.

I am finding it tricky to use Image Playground with Voiceover, although most of the reviews thus far on line seem to think it is intuitive. Maybe without seeing the screen it is, but I'm a bit confused.

Here are a few questions/comments I have:

1. I assume that all of the processing is done on the phone itself, but that wasn't clear to me. I often see "Image Generating" for a long time on the screen with no indication of progress or if anything is happening.

2. After the image is created, Voiceover gives me a short description, but there doesn't seem to be any way of asking questions to learn more detail about the result. I can't find an easy way of sending it to Be My Eyes for more detailed analysis. Is that possible somehow?

3. There are lots of buttons for things like "Love", "Starry Night", "Birthday", etc. What exactly are these doing if one activates them? What impact do they have on the generated picture. do the changes take place immediately after activating one of these buttons?

Anyway, just a bit confused with this new UI and don't know what to expect when using Voiceover. Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated.

Overall though, I must say that iOS 18.2 betas two and three seem to be working very well with Voiceover.

iPhone 14 Pro. I found a setting in Sounds and Haptics to add a volume limit on the device speaker, but otherwise it's just the redesigned mail app and an improvement in the photos app that I really don't care about. Still no ChatGPT. I really don't get it!

My first question would be if navigating by "Lines" within the Notes app has been resolved with VoiceOver in 18.2? I understand this is beta software, but the bug with VO regarding the Notes app is driving me insane. Next, how about Drag & Drop apps into folders? Any updates there? Finally for Peter, regarding using Be My Eyes to describe something in Playground, can you not take a screenshot and then share it with BME that way?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

FYI. It is only iPhone 15 pro and up. Not in the 14 pro.

That is good to hear. That bug is so terribly frustrating. You have no idea. Lol

Glad to hear dropping apps in folders is fixed, man that bug was driving me crazy.

I just tested this after seeing the note about it above. Looks like navigating by lines in the Notes app is still broken in 18.2 beta 3.

It seems to work when focused in some parts of a note, but not others. Not sure what the difference is but it is definitely broken.

Man I hope that by the time 18.2 is released to the public, they fix that bug. I use Notes all of the time, and will be very disappointed if I have to start using a different Notes app. I do have OneNote on my iPhone as well, but I like it better on Windows 11, then I do on my iPhone. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Has anyone reported this to Apple yet?

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

I've been running iOS 18.2 beta 3 on my iPhone 15 Pro since it came out last week.

Suddenly yesterday Voiceover started speaking all punctuation regardless of what setting I chose in the rotor punctuation settings. This wasn't a problem for the past week but, as I said, just started happening last night.

And, before you ask, yes, I even rebooted my phone!

Hi Pete,

Check to be sure that you don't accidentally have the "Programming" VoiceOver Activity enabled. If Activities are on, it will be in your Rotor. I had the exact same thing happen to me a couple years ago, I filed a frantic Feedback, started going through everything and... Thankfully... Found that I had accidentally enabled the "Programming" Activity.

Hope Apple releases the next beta today. I think is public 4. It might be one more beta before the RC is release in 2 weeks.

@Michael Hansen
You nailed it. Somehow the settings in my rotor for Activities got switched to "Programming".

Thanks a bunch.

Hi Pete,

Glad this fixed it! I can still remember the panic I felt, having just installed the first iOS 16 Beta to try out Eloquence, when that happened to me. (Smile)
