Hi, if you are going through an app and you have favorites and you have 30 favorites the TV side says 1 of 30 ETC. How do I get this behavior to work on the phone? on iOS it doesn't say that.

Sorry but can you clarify a a bit your question? I understand it being related to indices and probably with the three fingers one tap gesture that ask VO to indicate the position of the cursor in a list of item in an app for example?

in other words when I'm going through the list it usually says 1 of 30 2 of 30 etc. It isn't doing that now. How do I make this happen? If I use the same app on apple TV it works as I describe.

What voices are you using on iOS and TVOS, or whatever it is you are using?

In that case, Dennis, it may be as simple as a setting within that speech engine's parameters for iOS. I would suggest looking over Virbosity as well as the new additions per voice introduced in iOS 18. That is to say, go to your speech settings, tap on your preferred voice, and see if there are some additional settings there.

HTH.

It is strange, that I never really noticed this before, or rather, did not notice when this stopped working. I can tell you that it seems to be universal, whether in an email, a note, or on a webpage, lists no longer read out such as 1 of 5, etc.

I do not normally use Eloquence, but it is added as a Rotor voice on my iPhone. I tried playing with Virbosity settings, even tried toggling on and off some of the Eloquence exclusive features such as Community based dictionaries, etc, but I cannot figure this one out.

Sorry I could not be more help. 😳
