List of Commands for BSI in iOS 18

I'm completely new to this, never having used a Braille display with my phone, and it's a lot to take in, and you saved me from scrolling down to Scott's post of a few days ago. I just have one question. What's the difference between swiping left and scrolling left? I thought they were the same thing until reading the list of Braille gestures.

Think of it like this, swiping left or right is like taking your thumb and swiping left or right on your home screen between app icons.
Scrolling left or right would be like taking three fingers and swiping left or right to swap home screen pages.

Hi, I don't know if it depends on the Braille table but for me, the letter F as search text doesn't work.
And even the "select all" or "delete" key -letter d-.
Copy, paste, cut, redo, undo, work perfectly instead.
On iPad instead, you have dots 2 and 6, then three and five, to move between two areas of split view screen. From right to left and left to right side of the screen.
Not sure about the 1+7 dots and 4+7 to go from right to left and left to right container.

This is great. I do not use Braille myself but is good. I copy it and paste it to the blind apple group email for them to see. I did give credict for it to the creator of the list and let people know that can come to the web page and check it out themselves.

Chris, you did a great job, but numbers 33 and 39 can be combined as follows:
33, Magic Tap, dots 1, 5, and 6. Start or stop the current action (for example, play or pause music or a video, take a photo in Camera, start or stop a recording, start or stop the stopwatch, answer/hangup a phone call, start dictation in an edit field.)
The command was the same in 33 and 39 dots 1,5 and 6, and since it is the equivalent of the Magic Tap, I personally think they should be combined to help folks understand the full use of that gesture.

My previous comment suggested combining number 39 with 33, so here are two others. 39. Practice mode, Letter k.
40. Pause or continue speech, letter p.

I compared my list of braille commands for a braille display and found several more that work in BSI Command mode. I had previously listed the combination of 33 and 39, and posted my new 39 and 40. Here are the rest that I can find. 41. Speak page number or rows being displayed, dots 3, and 4. (VO help says “read item summary.”
42. Select text, Dots 2,5, and 6.
43. Deselect text, Dots 2, 3, and 5.
44. Undo typing, Letter z.
45. Redo typing, dots 2,3,4, and 6.
46. Move to next visible app, dots 2, and 6.
47. Move to previous visible app, dots 3, and 5.
48. QuickNav toggle, letter q.

when you combine 4 and 5 from the list chris posted and you do that in a quick tap ,, so tap dots 4 5 and 6 then quickly tab dots 1 2 and 3, this will calibrate the braille cel layout .. i believe you can do this as many times you want .. this could be helpful if you have like one finger that is just a tat off

if you do this too slow then it will just bring you to the last item on the page and back to the first item on the page.

i do wonder about one combination that would put your device to sleep or into lock screen if you dont have that set automatically , but of course could just press the side button :D

to activate the braille screen input mode is to tab both ends top and bottom of the screen with one finger double tap , if you tripple tap with same fingers also top and bottom this will bring you straight into braille command mode , to exit either mode pinch with two fingers towards each other or move two fingers outwards this will also exit these modes

That is very useful. I love this feature and was looking for a list of commands and this thing rocks.
