I have a PC running windows 10 and using NVDA. How complicated is it to upgrade to Windows 11 for a totally blind person? are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

As I understand it, it should be fairly straightforward. However, you would probably get a better overall experience just using Narrator, just for the update part. Then you can go back to NVDA afterwards. Also, congratulations on upgrading. Windows 11 is so, so much better than Windows 10. 😀👍

It should be easy enough, just search for updates and update to windows 11, before you do, here's the things you need.

Your wifi password and your microsoft account password, these will probably be needed to help you resign in to the system once everythign is updated.

E.g. SAPI5 Eloquence or VOcalizer from Code Factory, unlicense them and pick a different synthesizer first. Then reactivate them when the upgrade is done.

Been ages for me too, but IIRC it just acted like another Windows update. I didn't do a fresh install or anything, it just downloaded and installed right over 10. I don't think I needed any passwords, but I also had a local account set up.
