Hi friends,
I have switched to mac from windows very recently.
I have copied the songs from the windows PC to my mac and I need a help regarding the following.
1. A accessible ID3 tag editor, which can automatically detect the various info about the song such as, album, artist, etc . and can save it to the song, so that the music app in the mac can display the songs correctly. Presently the music app displays only track one, track two etc.
2. I am also in need of a good accessible RSS reader app for mac and iPhone which can sync across easily, I.E. if there are totally 100 unread articles, I read 25 in my iPhone and when I come back to mac it should have only 75 unread articles.

Looking for RSS Reader as well
Looking for this on the mac as well.
Why would you use a 3rdβ¦
Why would you use a 3rd party rss reader? Like apple podcast is rss by nature isn't it? Thank you for mp3tag I knew it for windows wasn't aware it's also accessible on mac.
RSS for News
I think the OP's question is about RSS readers for news articles on websites. I am only a casual Mac user at best, but I too am interested in this.
Re: 1. MP3 Tag, available on macβ¦
hi Ollie, I searched for both the apps in the apps store, it seems both are paid apps. Is there any free apps available for the same?
Re: Looking for RSS Reader as well
Hi Maldalain, I came across a app named Newsify, the app is also accessible in IOS. The app can be used freely and can be upgraded to pro as well. I was able to successfully install it in my m2 mac, but when I click on the feedly log in and give my user name password nothing seems to happen. I am not sure what is going wrong.
Re: Ah, yes. It's been a whileβ¦
I need the ID3 tag editor just for one time use for bulk updating the songs copied from the windows PC. once these old songs are tagged properly, I don't have the utility for the app, because these days I am using only online music streaming app for listening music.
Re: There's a free 7 day trialβ¦
Hi thank you so much. I think that should be enough for my needs. I will try it and revert back.
NetNewsWire
This is a free and open source RSS reader for the Mac and iPhone. I haven't used it in a while as I switched to Lire but it is excellent. I only switched to Lire because of the way it automatically downloads the web content for those articles that are just links elsewhere. NetNewsWire doesn't have that but otherwise it's a nice, simple and easy to use app.
Re: NetNewsWire
Hi mr grieves, Thank you for this wonderful app. I have installed in IOs. The app is very simple and extremely accessible to use. I will install the same in my mac and get back with the results. Can you guide me in few things I want to do with this NetNewsWire app: 1: moveing a feed from one folder to another folder. 2. searching for a new feed . I am not sure how to accomplish the above task.
Re: NetNewsWire
Hi mr grieves, I am extremely thankful to you for recommending the net news wire app. The app is completely accessible in mac and also has lots of keyboard shortcuts, making the app even easier to use. When I downloaded the net news wire from their page, I came across the applevis entry in that site. I am giving the link below.
https://www.applevis.com/apps/ios/news/netnewswire-rss-reader
Thomas has also done a podcast about the IOS app of net news wire.
I am also giving the link to the podcast below.

One of my problem is solved.
Now I have to explore the trial version of the MP3 tag app.
Re: NetNewsWire
I'm glad you are enjoying the app - it served me very well at the time. Sorry I ignored your question from before - I had been meaning to reinstall the app as I couldn't really remember. But it sounds like you've managed to get the answers. I set it up with Feedly which I also use on Lire so was quite handy when trying them both out.
Re: NetNewsWire
Hi mr grieves, I am also using feedly service for fetching the feeds. The feedly service is good.
