Is this iOS 18.1, or a supplemental update? Thanks in advance. 🙂

This is indeed IOS 18.1 with apple intelligence for those with iPhone 15 Pro and more recent as well as the latest iPad mini and iPads with the M series of chips.

Once I've got it downloaded I'm going to try the new hearing aid function on APP 2. Considering it's not been in beta I'm really hoping apple hasn't dropped the ball on accessibility for us on the hearing test. As it is IOS, I'm pretty confident it will be okay.

After updating to the RC, and everythings went well, I asked siri a simple question. What is the temperature in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She mostly kept trying to show me an article. Not so AI. I was able to asked in iOS 18.01. She also can not listen well to simple messages send. I asked her to sent the title of a song and she kept getting it wrong. Ended up going to message, using magic tap to dictate message and it work. Dictation was a crap if I tap on the dictation button. At this time she who should not be name is smarter than Siri.

Did this problem exist before, I don't remember. I'm using the ios 18.1 beta. So I was experiencing this in ios 18 too. The edit apps rotor works. but when I double tap and hold on the applications, nothing happens. I wonder if there was a problem while tinkering with a setting? Or I don't know if I have a problem with the software.

I hope that gets fixed soon. I have a collection of folders I use quite often on my iPhone. I would hate to lose the ability to manage those. I’ve been using folders for years to categorize different apps that I use frequently.

If you aren't on the beta you might want to consider it. That is the quickest way you will get fixes.

How do you do the hearing test? I ask because I go into bluetooth, my airpods under more info but I don't see it I did by m airpods pro 2 I think last descember so they aren't the newest moddle, I.e, no usbc case, but... Am I missing something?
Edit: never mind, From what I read this is available in the actual release candidate, updating now... No wunder I couldn't see it!

Or should I just be surprised? I recently started wearing hearing aids, but currently one is in the shop due to some sort of recall. Once that one comes back, we will send in the other for the necessary repairs. I don't think it's anything major, but my and my father's audiologist informed us at our recent follow-up appointment. It's something to do with cleaning, which I'm rather curious about myself.

The hearing aid feature refers to a feature of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, where an iPhone or iPad can administer a hearing test through a pair of AirPods Pro 2, and if hearing loss is detected, can enable the AirPods to function as hearing aids for people with mild to moderate hearing loss. More information is available in this Apple Support article.

I've been reporting this for a while, with screen video, via Feedback app but it hasn't been addressed. Supposedly there have not been any similar reports. I'm sure I can't be the only one experiencing this. Have any of you experienced and reported this problem, and if so have any of you reported via Feedback app? FB15305178 if anyone wants to add it to your reports.

If I double tap and hold on an app and move the finger over the screen VoiceOver still inform me when the app is on a folder, and I can move it into that folder, but the problem is that no information is given that the app is moving until it is on a folder, and that bug is introduced in the rc version.

The hearing aid feature indeed works perfectly well using VoiceOver, as long as you have the AirPods Pro second generation. Voiceover will speak through your AirPods to give you step-by-step guidance.
