Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe :)
I'm currently using apps to listen to Internet radio like Triode and TuneIn.
However, I'm wondering if there's any newer more up-to-date or fresher apps that I should be aware for Internet radio, thanks for your help with this everyone and I can't wait to hear your recommendations :-)

Triode is the best. It is awesome and just works.

I would recommend iHeartRadio, if you want to sample variety for free, and don’t mind an occasional Radio ad. There are subscription options as well. 🙂

Have a look at the app called Radio Garden. It’s very accessible and has a fantastic list of stations from all over the world.

I recently discovered an app called Broadcasts and really like it. You simply add stations to your collection and can tap on one of them to start the station playing. You can add up to 5 stations to your collection for free, or remove that limit for a 1-off payment. I can't remember the price but it's not much at all.

Without wishing to self-promote, I did a demo of the app for the RNIB Tech Talk podcast recently. Would be happy to share the link if that would be allowed.

I’ve tried a bunch and in my opinion MyTuner Pro is the best by far. It has a one time purchase of $10 at the time I bought it. It syncs across devices and the search features are very superior than any other radio app I’ve used. Here is a link. It has a lot of features that I find very useful.

There is a free version but it has in app adds and no music EQ unless you pay the $10. I’m low vision and don’t use VO yet so can’t say anything about that. I haven’t found any of the internet radio apps to be perfect but MyTuner Pro comes closest. I have it on three devices and have built up a favorite list of add free stations of various genres. Give it a look.

Callum, I’d like to see you link to the podcast about the Broadcasts radio app. I did download it and though it isn’t up to the MyTuner Pro level it certainly has some value. I found two very good Blues radio stations on the app that have excellent music and no adds. I have a few radio apps to search out new music and when I find a song that is really good I search for the entire album on Music Unlimited where I have a subscription. Iii like Classical Music too and will search there some and see what shakes out. The one time price is reasonable at $10.

So put that link up to your podcast please.U

Thanks for the Radio garden recommendations everyone it's working pretty smoothly for me over here. Some radio stations on my tuner pro aren't connecting and I've no idea why. I like to listen to rinse FM in the UK, bizarrely enough some apps connect to it and some apps don't my tuna pro appears to be one of the apps that doesn't connect to it. Thank you for your help everyone

Trey, I was able to get Rinse Kool FM from London on MyTuner Pro and it was playing the same song as the online Rinse FM London and Rinse Kool FM was too on their website. Give it a try and see what you can find. Let me know. Radio Garden is 25 dollars per year over here. That is a good amount of quid.

One app which is fantastic to use is simple Radio. It actually connects nicely to non-apple devices. It has a lot of radio stations, and you can even search radio stations by artists.
