Speaker assistant 1.8 is now available for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple vision Pro.
For iPhone version there is a new feature that would be interesting for blind speakers.
In addition to fixing some bugs and providing more customization options, a revolutionary new feature has been introduced:
By leveraging Apple’s Spatial Audio technology available with AirPods, users can now place an audio marker in space to help orient themselves on stage. For blind individuals like myself, who sometimes move around the stage or turn to address the audience, this is incredibly useful for maintaining orientation during dialogue with the public.
Users can currently choose between a clapping sound, white noise, or an electronic chime. Moreover, the audio cue can be set to play continuously or at intervals of 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes. With all these customization options, users can feel more comfortable and confident while on stage.
