I have been having many problems with the new Overcast version and am using an iPhone 15 with the latest updates. The biggest and most annoying problem for me is that I can't keep my podcasts in alphabetical order in the playlist as I did before. I have gone into the playlist settings and changed the setting from ranked to grouped and back again with no difference; and I have all of my podcasts listed as high priority, just like I always did. The order is completely random. I have the setting also selected for arranging from oldest to newest by podcast. Can anyone explain what the ranking and grouping setting is all about anyway? Thanks for any info. I have contacted the developer with no response.

Have you thought about switching to downcast, I don't know how their playlists are as i don't use that function but i've done it.
The dev of overcast hasn't responded to me either.
It would take a bit of time to switch but I'd highly recommend it.
You can't export an OPML file anymore so will have to add podcasts manualy.
It's terrible but what can you do.
Downcast instead
I never did like Overcast and it’s interface. I’ll second Downcast and like it’s features very much. All the podcasts you have subscribed to or entered into the Playlist lineup stay in alphabetical order. There are many good things about Downcast and its inexpensive with no subscription so you might give it a try. I’ve tried other podcast apps and have paid for some but keep coming back to Downcast. I just listened to an episode of Park Predators with that app.
There is one issue I really wish they'd fix.
If you have ep one, you'll have to swipe 2 times to get to ep 2, there's an info button after each episode, it's a bit annoying but it's better than downcast.
OH and if you want to play all the episodes at once,, you need to go to the bottom right and tap on mark all, I think that's what it's called, then mark all for streaming, that's what I do, or mark all for download.
