My bank's mobile app has some accessibility issues on iOS. One of them is the fact that the list of transactions is not read correctly by VoiceOver. Instead of reading the displayed data for each entry (e.g. date of the transaction, sum, etc.), VoiceOver reads a consecutive number for each next entry (e.g. 0 for the latest, 1 for the next, 2 for the one after that, etc.).
Each transaction entry is treated by VoiceOver as a separate object.
Is there a way to force VoiceOver to do an OCR on such inaccessible objects? Is it possible to do it? And if yes - how?

P.S.: I've contact the bank about the issue, but I need a temporary solution until they eventually fix it.

try screen recognition
Hi,
Turn on screen recognition if you haven't already. Go to settings / accessibility / VoiceOver / VoiceOver recognition, and turn on text, image and screen recognition. 'Screen recognition' should be in the VoiceOver rotor, if it isn't add it so you can use it on an app when you need to, and turn it off when you need to.

I turned it on, but it did not help - VoiceOver did not report any text in the desired area. I guess I'll have to wait to be fixed by the app developers from the bank. In the mean time, I'll read those transactions from the desktop website of the bank.
Assign a gesture to describe image
For me, a three finger single tap is set to describe image in the voiceover section in the commands list; settings/Accessibility/voiceover/commands/all commands/voiceover.
No matter what object/text/inaccessible button you’re on, activating this gesture will try to describe the current item, including reading text if text detection is turned on in VoiceOver Recognition settings.
On the inaccessible item in your banking app, navigate to the text/button that voiceover reads. Activate this gesture to have voiceover try to identify whatever is where the cursor is.
I recommend adding a gesture to describe image, because sometimes it won’t do it automatically, or give useless descriptions like screenshot, outdoor, logo other, night sky, etc.
Another cool thing about the describe image gesture, is it works anywhere, no matter what app you’re in. It works on websites too.
